Btw there is a ‘smeg heaed thread’ on here 😉Actually that should be pretty easy on my new laptop so yeah, uploading pics and inserting links never used to work on my phone. Will just have to root out the memory card it’s on but I’ll make sure it’s on here by morning. I’ll PM you if you want when it’s done so you don’t forget to check it out.
I’m well out of it in the photo if I remember correctly, look like a freaking loony toon lol

Is this a don’t ask situation? Cos youve got me intrigued..
I don’t think i’d like it, not really my sort of comedy. It seems a bit ‘simple’ to me. I don’t know how to explain it, plus the actual quality of it is shocking (Video quality) as i’m used to modern day quality not from the 1920’s like you old timers!
Although I know it’s coming back for a new season (11 I think it is?) as my friend met Rimjob near Cookham and he confirmed it..@korno 528724 wrote:
Ah yeah GL had explained in the RD thread that your generation won’t be able to adjust your eyes to the old quality of tv that we used to get, because we grew up with such bad quality we can quite happily sit down and watch a film from that time and not feel ill.
There’s another issue that although the source quality wasn’t HD and film especially had noise and grain, the broadcasters originally did a lot to get the best of it, but todays digital channels use excessive compression which makes picture and sound bad, they also do not have the on site engineers who would carefully check and reset colour balance to make the picture look good, and the TV companies themselves have let their archives deteriorate.
I’ve seen footage from 1970s German and Dutch telly on youtube, carefully preserved (its been transferred straight from analogue to only one digital codec and then on to youtube) and it looks better than what todays UK digital channels are transmitting.

Oh god it’s even worse than I remember. A total abomination but undeniable evidence that I was pilled up when the photo was taken.

How did you get into RD?Well I’ve always been big into sitcoms…especially British ones.
I was a bit put of with the bad effects and canned laughter. I think a lot of people are put of by canned laughter because you automatically think its going to be a cheesy show. My BF urged me to watch it with him and alas I fell in love.
The whitty banter between characters, the colourful insults and the gripping sci-fi plots 😉My favourite shows are:
Black books
red dwarf.
The IT crowd.
father ted.
the mighty boosh.
spaced.February 28, 2013 at 10:33 pm #1268005By the way Korno did you see my trip report for the Peyote? I know you wanted to read

Nah 27 is relatively young especially when people are living into their 80s now.

Noone lives into their 80s, its all a conspiracy. If your grandparents tell you they are older than 79, they are either a ghost or liars, more likely ghosts (obviously!) and id check there birth certificate. Wait, they cant find their birth certificate? What a coincidence

March 1, 2013 at 12:36 pm #1267984You do get sent a birthday card signed from her, its quite a generic one though.
I saw a news report of this old gal who was 106 and for six years running had the same card from her.March 1, 2013 at 12:37 pm #1267985The delivery of congratulatory messages marking 100th birthdays and 60th wedding anniversaries is arranged by the Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace.
For many people, receiving a congratulatory card from The Queen to mark a significant birthday or wedding anniversary is a very special part of their celebrations.
Since 1917, the Sovereign has sent congratulatory messages to people celebrating notable birthdays and anniversaries.
Cards are sent to those celebrating their 100th and 105th birthday and every year thereafter, and to those celebrating their diamond wedding (60th), 65th, 70th wedding anniversaries and every year thereafter.
