I live in the East of England, and i think many people from CZ come here to do the work in farms but I’m not sure how you apply for this work. If you come to the UK for the summer you don’t need to get an “illegal” job, you can work legally for a month (after that you have to register) but it is legal to work as much as you want after that if you do..
its better to for all of us for you to do this than an illegal job where there are bad conditions and less pay (plus it pushes down the pay of people in England).
There are plenty of good outdoor parties in the forests and fields here, and in pubs/clubs.
Some are legal, some are not. Although some get shut down, many are allowed to happen still – our Police do not often use riot gear and CS gas, and don’t regularly carry pistols!
I don´t listen about ketwork…:( but i was not there.Mean you Czech tek 06? i think, that it was a little comercial party.Do you mean Paroub tek 05…i was there, these were a shiiit.. We started with sound system too. My idea about his name is Spoika…what do you mean about it?
I´m fully of joy, that tekno scene in England is parallel as in our republic.
I can work on a farm, but my english isn´t so good…so little speaking:(
i know little this…little that one,but i know work with my hand´s.I have no fear with work…:D:wink:June 23, 2007 at 4:36 pm #1134340General Lighting wrote:Welcome to partyvibe Smis! Some of my friends went to the Czechtek festivals and may have taken their sound system “Ketwork32” there . If the employers are complying with applicable laws like health and safety/maximum hours and paying a decent wage in accordance with market rates and the minimum wage then its fair.
If they are not the employer is breaking the law, and people are perfectly entitled to notify the relevant authorities (such as HM Revenue and Customs) or the trades unions that this employer is doing so.

June 25, 2007 at 11:07 am #1113978PP most harvesting work has always been done by migrant people (although now it’s mostly mechanised).
If you’re prepared to travel all over the country, live in a caravan or a car there’s no reason why you wouldn’t find this sort of job. I used to do it

June 25, 2007 at 11:50 am #1113996I used to pick fruit as a kid on a local farm, the only English people picking fruit was me and my mate. The rest of them were Polish and were camping at the edge of the field, they camped there for a long time!
