I actually prefer this one to the source’s version, call me a traitor, but Florence and the machine know what they are doing, the Candi version, although trippy as fuck, doesn’t have the sound quality to it that you can tell these guys worked really hard to get (I mean the actual release of Florence’s version, and not this remix). This remix is the fucking “shit” though imo. )

the original bootleg was simply the two records being mixed together (bear in mind it came out in 1990 when DJ’s beatmatching tracks in clubs was a relatively new phenomenon, and most music outside was heard on cassette or Band II FM radio which both have less high end than today..)

^^ You tube is plagued with shit compression and no high end, this really fucking annoys me. Takes me at least ten minutes to play a tune on YT, as I have to find a half decent version first, and that’s not easy!

There were even a couple more bootled versions before the official release the source. A mate of mine who is just a couple of years older probably has them all (or can at least name them).

The radio station staff are now banned from playing out tracks from youtube (I’ve caught a few doing that over the last few months but wasn’t 100% sure if it was tolerated or not) after one of the indie kids played a track so compressed around the time there was all that wind, we thought our band I link antenna’s had got de-masted…

I’m currently helping out nigboat get a home sound system together, I really don’t think (no offense ment) people realize the quality of good quality sound! MP3 has ruined life imo lol.

You know that girl who’s my best mate’s gf, the theater gal… She recorded a track in a studio and they blatantly had NO fucking idea what they were doing. Frankly it made me feel sick listening to it, after knowing she paid them. I could do better recording her in my acoustically unsound room!

I post mix treated said song, and it sounded 100 times better, and there’s no way that should happen if they were good in the studio! I’m not even a good sound engineer lol, the fuckers charge for it! Mby there is some hope for my music cureea yet! 😛

I’m sitting in on the next recording to make sure they don’t fleese her!

Yeah the frankie knuckles track is epic, and the candi staton vocal version is the bees knees. There are quite a few booties of it nowdays.
