I had a conversation like that before, i was trying to prove to someone that time was a dimension and we could tell it exists from how time effects objects and the observance of the passage of time. He just wanted to be all philosophical and deep though so I gave up because he wasn’t even saying anything.

It’s like saing an inch or CM doesn’t exsist … it does .. it’s purely a unit of mesurment … just like time. All be it we invented it … we are the creators of our own universe .. if we invent time .. then it exsists. imo. even tho it’s not solid.

Actualy time is a dimension, not a spatial one albeit but a dimension none the less. sure we invented the units with which to measure time, but that does not mean that just because we created it a way to measure it it did not exist. That would be like saying that there were no spatial dimensions before we could perceive forwards,backwards, left right and up or down. They existed, just not in a way we could measure or actively comprehend.

I’d hardly say I’m intelligence, I can just carry a basic understanding of things I’ve been told, to an extent of course.

Space time (or the space-time continuum) is the combination of at least 3 spatial dimensions and the temporal dimension, time. They are separate dimensions in and of themselves, but still incredibly related and intertwined.
