there are so many ravers here though I reckon parties will still always happen somewhere, but its a matter of being smarter now and not pissing off the locals..

February 25, 2005 at 9:23 pm #1061943AnonymousDallas, TX USA. I was looking up stuff for a research paper and came accross this blog. I am very interested how globally, or and least in England and the United States, how very similar the “trend” for people that enjoy electronic music has became. I myself was a promoter in the Dallas area a couple years back when our government began cracking down on these events and got in trouble. It has only made me want to search out other avenues for promoting the morals and compassion I learned from attending. I have already graduated for recording arts and am currently persuing a graphic design degree to futher my knowledge to create my own unique ideas and thoughts on the subject. I would like to make this a global effort. If anyone is interested in spreading what you know is right, please e-mail me.Jason_Sprouse@hotmail.com
February 27, 2005 at 3:25 pm #1062040A big welcome to all the new guys and girls.
Jason, try posting this in the ‘Chat’ forum. There are quite a lot of US and UK ravers (aswell as other nationalities) that read this board that might be willing to help out.

February 27, 2005 at 8:14 pm #1061944AnonymousDear Friend,
My name is MR ABDUL RAHMAN ALWAH a merchant in Dubai, in
the U.A.E. I have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer which
has defiled all forms of medical treatment and I have only a few
months to live, according to medical reports.Though I am very rich, I have not particularly lived my life so well,
as I was never really generous towards anyone and only focused
on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. Now I
regret all that as I now know that there is more to life than money. If given a second chance to live, I would be a blessing and a
significant part of people’s live, especially the less privilege. Now
that it is too late for me to change, I urge you not to make the
same mistakes I made. I have willed and given most of my
property and assets to my immediate and extended family
members as well as a few close friends.I pray for God’s merciful for my soul and I have also decided
to give to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of
my last good deeds on earth. So far, I have distributed
money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E,
Sudan and Malaysia but cannot do this (personally) anymore
because of my deteriorated health.I once asked members of my family to close one of my
accounts and distribute the money which I have there to
charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they refused
and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them
anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have
left for them. The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge
cash deposit of $18,000,000,00 that I have with a
finance/Security Company abroad. I will need your help
in collecting and dispatching it to charity organizations.I have set aside 20% for you and for your time.
Please endeavour to contact me if you are willing.
God be with you.
ABDUL RAHMAN ALWAHl
February 27, 2005 at 8:36 pm #1062041How bizarre. You don’t often see scams like this on message boards. What made them pick this thread anyway.
I’m not sure if it should be deleted, or whether it should be left for everyone to laugh at.
Shame on him/her for using the topic of terminally ill cancer patients to convince people though.
February 28, 2005 at 12:27 pm #1062074delete it me thinks…i have a habit of lookin at this board when munted and also its a bit twisted.
February 28, 2005 at 7:43 pm #1062017its gone (was “419 letter”/charity scam) – OTOH I can’t work out how it was supposed to get anybody, or just what the point of this was… as the idiot didn’t put any contact details and was unregistered!

March 22, 2005 at 4:35 pm #1062085I asked my mother where I was from once.
I was first told that I came in a job lot with my brothers 3 for a tenner. I thought that was a bit of a bargain, but I later found out that this was not true.
I was then told the facts of life, and was told that God touched my Mum’s belly button and created me. This turned out to be a lie too.
Then I was told the REAL facts of life, but didn’t find it too interesting as we were told by old women teachers who thought it was best not to show 10 year old kids porn videos.
Then I discovered that I was born in London, moved to Reading, lived on the road, moved back, moved to the west, moved back, moved to the north, moved back, moved to a mansion in the country with a bunch of acid casualty hippies, moved back, then spent most of the rest of my life somewhere between here and there.
I hope that answers the question.

March 22, 2005 at 4:52 pm #1062086Do we know about the curse of Reading?
Shit, I’ve been here on and off for 12 years. I’ve given up trying to get away now.
Accepting my destiny seems to be the only way I can get on with it these days!
