not saying your experience is similar to mine at all – but……

once I stopped smoking weed, and stopped being so ‘self focused’ – it helped as I reminded myself the world didnt revolve around me ( I know it sounds harsh, but realising people wernt all that interested in how I came across – liked me for who I am – and if they didnt – I didnt worry anymore -) really helped

also finding out years (and I mean years later, from my ‘one’ friend at art college – who I still see) I was actually viewed as ‘very cool, aloof and independent’ as I didnt take shit from other people or (appear to ) care about what they thought of me, was a REAL shock — as at the time he spoke about – I was shitting it inside and so worried about what other people thought of me – I was so introverted, I didnt really speak to people –

its funny how you view yourself and actually come across to others – and sometimes create your worst fear – maybe the way I acted actually turned people off from talking to me……

and having met you = only briefly – you come across as such a nice guy… so maybe this might be helpful to ‘step outside yourself’ and view yourself as other might…?

or I might be talking shit….

I’ve just had the most horrendous bowel movement that made my toe nails water.

Plus I literally watched a poor fly that found itself trapped in the bathroom with me die from the stench. That’s an achievement!

TBH I’d be concerned that there was a filth fly present in a loo in Northern Britain during a hard winter, it is supposed to be way too cold for them – it would have been a particularly hardy specimen so that is an impressive contribution to pest control :laugh_at:
