May 16, 2007 at 6:24 pm #1104155Though I think it’s sort of cheating to say ‘music’ it nicely covers my drum, decks, phones, soundsystem, puter & choons 🙂 (and I could also sneak my CD alarm clock, microphone etc. into that category too, which could be a bugger in the ‘house on fire’ scenario as I’d probably end up as toast!)
May 16, 2007 at 7:59 pm #1104167My diaries.
Go back to my early teens (20 years!) An the stuff from my twenties jesus . . . :crazy_diz
They contain stuff that would otherwise be totally lost, writing, cards, photos, quotations, bits done by other people, drawings, ideas, momentoes, feathers, flowers, flyers!
Make I laugh, make I cry, and I have considered burning them over the years, lighten the load, ya know? but I’ve kept em, so far . . .
Anyone else . . ?

May 17, 2007 at 2:20 pm #1104131I’ve kept a few items as “rave trophies” over the years and various photos but never a proper diary.
I don’t belive in holding on to bad memories though; I have purged a whole collection of photos and other items from a certain time in the SE England rave scene a few years ago (around 2001-2003) where it seemed like a lot of negative shit was going on – violence, crime, people getting into heroin etc…
I have no regrets for my actions as that was IMO a dark time in the party scene that ultimately led to the clampdowns and crackdowns of recent years, and I have kept the rest of the memories..

Its strange but my most negative times were the very end of 2001 to 2005 ie my dog called Dog dying of cancer, brown, rock, old bill, and many friends dying mainly due to substances, crazy psycotic smack wife, crazy psycotic me,to numerous to mention violent goings on and even being told by my probation officer that I had a high chance of dying in police custody then realising that I was being targeted and just deciding to get the f–k out of dodge and to put my shit back together which I have sort of thoe I am skint oh well you cant have everything:love:
