just a quick one what is the one thing you want look forward to at a rave / free party
December 1, 2006 at 10:35 am #1095506apart from the good music?
an attitude free zone :weee: [no arguments/aggro]
December 1, 2006 at 10:36 am #1095496For me, I don’t think it can be limited to one thing.
The music will always be one of the most important to me but if the crowd are unfriendly and you have to watch your back then that is not an enjoyable party.
Despite music being my key factor I think I’d prefer a party where I’m not enjoying the tunes so much but the people are spot on.
Having friends around you is always good too.
December 1, 2006 at 10:37 am #1095497to make new real friends and have hassle free fun
December 1, 2006 at 11:41 am #1095504beautiful locations are always benificial
December 1, 2006 at 12:02 pm #1095493a good location (and that also means one that doesn’t cause conflict with anyone else) and friendly people are paramount…
I’m not a snob about music genres or how much rig is there…. although a massive warehouse with 30K system is excellent a small rave with a few hundred people from a new crew with a good outlook is just as good…

December 1, 2006 at 12:38 pm #1095512stomping! just being outside, the music, finding stuff. its all good.
December 1, 2006 at 1:01 pm #1095514Feeling at home…It’s hard to explain, but the highest feelings I got,are being in the right place,at the right time,as it never stopped, and being really myself, without having to cheat with anyone(as we all have to do to have a normal social life…).
So,THE thig for me is having no more external pressure…
Music and eventually drugs are only some ways to aim at this state of mind…
raaaDecember 1, 2006 at 1:18 pm #1095508No police! The filth are always on the case to stop partys, i wish they’d just leave us to do our own thing

The filth are always on the case to stop partys, i wish they’d just leave us to do our own thingIt would be OK if its just a couple of bobbies or even black rats (traffic cops) who drive up, take a look around and then go away again a few minutes later.
I’ve been to parties where the occasional presence of cops has scared away the sort of toerags who would otherwise be breaking into cars and nicking stuff or even trying to rob people, as most of these scum are wanted on warrents, have breached bail or are in a stolen car…
December 1, 2006 at 1:44 pm #1095500No aggro, from either people out to cause you harm, the police, or people causing trouble with the police. Riots do not make for a good party in my opinion!
plus Vodka!!
December 1, 2006 at 3:20 pm #1095513Not having to spend all my energy avoiding dodgy types, good setting and happy people.
December 1, 2006 at 4:22 pm #1095507to be able to sid down listen to good music have good company and at the end of the night walk home with a talkative woman:)
December 1, 2006 at 6:33 pm #1095505less cops, would be nice, an if there are cops. Then ones that are really understanding, an that you can have a laugh with. Trust me these do exist. December 1, 2006 at 6:39 pm #1095521i’ve been out partying with coppers before when i spent a long stint working in the midlands.(wouldnt do it with the locals though!) some of them are human
December 1, 2006 at 8:01 pm #1095498friendly, sound people is the thing that makes a party for me – having a group of good friends also
obviously the music is top of the list as well. i rarely hear the tunes i like most, but i’ll dance to anything pretty much, as long as it isn’t shit
beautiful locations make hela difference to me also… it really brings people up in the morning if you can take a walk or take in good views… reckon there’s a palpable difference in the energy if the sun comes over somewhere inpirational
and chai… somewhere to chill out and drink some spicy tea, round a decent fire or whatever, keeps people out of their cars 😉

December 1, 2006 at 9:39 pm #1095502When I;m on my way to a party I look forward to seeing everyone, so
Number1. the people (My mates from all over!)
Number2.The music, I can’t wait for the grimeeee baasss,
Number3. The atmosphere of the community,December 2, 2006 at 12:04 pm #1095491Decent and varied music. I’ve yet to hear anyone play industrial at a free party yet..
December 2, 2006 at 9:01 pm #1095519Not yet to goto a free party but i so want to though, just waiteing for one in the northwest. But when i’m in clubs it’s about the pepole/atosphere need to be able to let my self go with out beeing worried about fighting/geting bottled, relaxed pepole on the same wave length is a very big key factor for me.Allso the music plays a bit of a factor factor.

Institutionalised bullies, the lot of them.December 3, 2006 at 10:03 am #1095522i’ve got to admit though, the only decent ones i’ve met have been pretty disgusted by what goes on within the ranks and have been looking to change career. most definatly a bullys culture. the nice people with decent ideals soon get chewed up and spat out.when one of our squats was busted, ( with all the usual physical assaults on us, vandalism of our property and mistreetment of our livestock that goes on) there was a young wpc in tears, saying ‘ i never sighned up for this’ and the ones i knew in the midlands ( they were actualy a couple, husband and wife) were both looking to get out. people join with high ideals, but only the bullys get anywhere
