April 7, 2007 at 11:10 am #1040986Quote:From sweaty socks to sex toys, ceramic cooking hobs to your wife’s girlfriend – a new survey suggests it might be time to find out what is lurking under your bed.
Dirty plates, guitars and a mouldy Chinese takeaway were all discovered gathering dust beneath beds, the hotel chain Travelodge has found.
One of the 2,000 adults questioned returned home to find his wife under the covers and a ‘rustling sound’ coming from under the bed.
It turned out to be his wife’s secret girlfriend.
Quote:One woman feared a gas leak only to discover the source of the stench came from a pair of her husband’s sweaty football socks left festering for two years.:yakk::yakk::yakk:
Quote:Another man was helping his mother-in-law move her bed only to find her collection of adult toys.Hmm Hmm :groucho::groucho::groucho:
Quote:Over a third of those polled said they only vacuumed under the bed once a year.:hopeless::hopeless::hopeless:
Quote:One in four would be embarrassed if someone looked under their bed.:weee::weee::weee:
Quote:Travelodge spokesman Wayne Munnelly said: “Your bed is a haven and its surroundings should be clean and clutter-free to aid a good night’s sleep and that includes under your bed.”Soooooooo.. what’s under your bed ???
(if anybody dares to answer) :laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at:
April 7, 2007 at 11:48 am #1102506Emmmm…..I cleaned it out for the first time since I moved in a month ago. Its a futon type bed so theres only 6 inches of space but among other things there was…
3 crystal wine glasses
2 bottles of wine
lots of empty cans
an old firework
£108
a voporiser
and lots of rank stuff you don’t want to hear about.Whats more worrying is that my floor is worse.

April 7, 2007 at 11:56 am #1102502- an electric drill
- various boxes of DIY stuff from Screwfix
- a box of computer/telecoms related bits and pieces
- a quantity of books I brought down from Reading (I still don’t have a bookcase)
- the cardboard tube a bottle of Scotch is sold in – the whisky has long since been drunk and the empty bottle gone in recycling, but these cardboard tubes are useful for keeping things in…
and thats it, its surprisingly clear under my bed at the moment..
