a general lack of manners and respect for other people really! The way people push past others to get on buses, trains, etc. Not saying please or thank you or holding doors open for those behind them. walking along the street expecting others to get out of the way, throwing rubbish all over the place!
Mostly young people guilty of these things but not always!
One thing that that really gets to me now is the youngsters on buses or trains playing crap tinny music on their mobile phones!
Acting as if no one else is around and not caring if others mind having having to listen to it!
They know most people are gonna be too intimidated to say anything and I hate the fact they must get a power kick out of that! You can’t always blame people for keeping quiet tho, especially when there’s a mob of the bastards, no matter who you are you can’t take on a whole gang! #
Plenty of stories in the news about people getting hurt because they’ve dared to stand up to these wankers! There was a case recently when a guy was stabbed and killed on a bus because he asked a kid to stop throwing chips at his girlfriend!! We’d have all done the same as him, you’d have to of course but it certainly makes you think!
right wheres me beer i neeed to chill 😉

Since moving to a slightly less populated town and working in a rural area, I’ve noticed a big change.
in the village I work in, white van drivers stop to let me past when I am on my bicycle! In turn if there are old people crossing I will slow down, and I don’t ride on the pavement as there is no need to do so when the roads are less crowded and people are all prepared to give a bit of space..

Also “middle england’s anti-social behaviour” is often hidden, such as the angry middle aged bloke who disagrees with two week bin collections and “imposed” recycling schemes and so drives out into the countryside and fly tips his household rubbish (there is loads of that going on – ironically in the same “polite” village I work in!)

I agree that if they are being agressive to randoms that is wrong, but if youths are just playing music and being a bit boisterous is it any different to what locals feel when there is a big rave in their neighbourhood that can be heard from their houses, and they see people from the rave spilling out on to the streets shouting and larking about and throwing down bare litter and balloons on to the floor ?
we might all say we choose our party venues carefully, but can you honestly say you have never attended a rave that has been a bit near residential areas?
I was at one in SE England a few years back where some girls who I was chatting to said “we didn’t need the partyline, we just heard the sound from our bedrooms” and pointed to the estate across the street.
They might have loved it, but I’m sure the others on the estate may not have, but they felt powerless to stop the music too.
in our case as ravers who like loud music, particularly if we have ever been involved in DJ’ing or putting on an unlicensed rave – do we have the right to judge when some kid is making a tiny bit of noise from a mobile phone?
TBH I think its daft more than annoying, they should buy or use the stereo hands free kit available for most of these mobiles and listen to the music with better sound quality :laugh_at:

yep, I’ve ridden past middle aged people and old codgets in my street clothes and they look at you as if you are gonna rob their bags…
OTOH if I am wearing a shirt and tie I can ride at 20mph right past them, even on pavements and verges where I am not supposed to be and they don’t seem to care as I become “a busy office worker on his way keeping the wheels of the free market turning” :you_crazy
