January 14, 2013 at 7:44 pm #1063789It’s a state that I wish I could be in every moment of my life + the actual state I live in LOL :p
January 29, 2013 at 3:28 pm #1063790my friend (R) gave it to me. “squid” was our word for acid. we used to have little “FRYdays on Sunday” parties which were basically just a reason for getting a bunch of friends together to do more drugs and make kandi after the after parties. she made me a kandi that said SQUIDVICIOUS and it just kinda stuck.
January 29, 2013 at 4:57 pm #1063781My original screen name of Elektrik Muffin was a pure random marijuana induced spur of the moment thing. It was a username I utilized for many things, it’s my PS3 online ID, not that I’m ever online. I have a tendency to combine elements with food i.e. my email is thunder sausage lol.
The Psyentist is something I created just because I personally think it’s quite a cool name and original. Simple as. There are a few more psys that have registered since me but I’m sure there were some before me too so meh.

January 30, 2013 at 12:03 am #1063735Mine was born out of my inability to get hold pf any speed back in 2009! I got so desperate to get hold of some i started posting adverts in the personals and missed conections sections of gumtree and ither sites under the title ‘Looking for billy’ and saying stuff like “Does anyone know billy (and sometimes billy whizz but that was too bate) we used to be really close but i can’t get hold him anymore so if anyone can put me back in contact with him, there’ll be a drink in it for them!”…… i had a couple of e-mails where people knew what i was after but never came through with the goods, plus moderators/admin eventually clocked on and took down my posts.
When i first joined here i think somebody here thought it was short for ‘London Fire Brigade!’ not sure if that was to do with the first LFB2009.
Anyway may change it as its not been relavant for a long time plus there’s too many threads with LFB2009 in them where a lot of new people will think theyre about me rather then the old one….. who was/is the old LFB2009 again?

I remember that lol, I think it was GL who asked if you were part of the fire brigade. :laugh_at:
Not sure if there was another LBF, you sure you’re not just remembering thinking there was, due to the username threads?

it was, as at the time about 3 serving firefighters actually joined up to PV, one who actually posted here for a bit. We have actually had officers from all 3 main emergency services post here at least one! All of them, even the coppers, actually had useful and valid information to share with us, even if folk didn’t agree with some of the laws.

Why= Ketamine?Nah I haven’t done k since the late summer. I’m sure I copied the line from a film or something, cos if you notice the “I could talk part” it has nothing to do witht the screen name question. It seems like I took the line and put I was assigned my name at the beginning.
Ah gawd, now i’ll never know. Trying to think of what films I watched around that dat, i’m also gonna check my lovefilm log.

always wondered what makes people choose their screen names…
A couple of years ago – I was helping some people sort out the power in a large building they were in – to do this you have to identify and trace the distribution boards (fuse boxes) and their sub circuits (what they connect to). in large premises there are a lot of them, so its useful to make notes when doing this..
Anyway I’d written down on a sheet of paper
A/RYB1 – 6A – General Lighting
This is an electricians term for the house lights of any building – and usually the first circuit you check as it doesn’t use a lot of current and won’t make such a big “bang!” if its short-circuited (plus it means you can see what you are doing)
Anyway I thought it would make a good screen name as I try to “shine a light” on things when issues are being discussed and provide reliable facts and advice. (It also means if nosey people google my screenname they get a load of info about lamps and other ‘leccy stuff rather than anything that would give me away too much 😀 )
Its sometimes mis-spelt as “lightning” – easily done I suppose, and a previous avatar I used (the electric hazard symbol) increased this confusion; but sparks and flashes are something I usually try to avoid (they mean short circuits and other hazards!)
but what made you think of yours?
Will for one its easy to rember its my first 2 initails of my name and the rest of it is my last name.
March 4, 2014 at 12:03 am #1063794It is are Firms name.
March 4, 2014 at 1:25 am #1063745I was being held at gun point by angry pidgeons. They demanded I choose a fetching name, or Id be shot and fed to the cat.

For years I thought your name said “General Lightning” lol (like some kinda comic character with lightning as a super power) … wasn’t till I found this post (a few years back now) that I realized what it actually said, hurry for attention to detail lol.
