thats incredible !!!
so a dishwasher cycle probably lasting over an hour produces much less CO2 than a 2 mile car journey (lasting about 4 minutes at say 30 miles an hour)
so the amount produced by a more normal car journey of say 20 miles is off the scale compared to a dishwasher !!! really brings it home how damaging to the environment cars are ! and this is from a motoring section that you’d expect to be pro car !!and to think that idiot Brown is planning to convert motorway hard shoulders to car lanes (and hike train fares by 30%) to encourage more car use.
he won’t be happy till we’re 30 metres under the sea !!October 8, 2008 at 8:36 am #1210080AnonymousMrAHC;188913 wrote:A survey by The Daily Telegraph motoring section revealed that one cycle of a kitchen dishwasher releases about 765g of CO2 – more than double that produced by a short drive in the Range Rover Turbo Diesel, which releases 299g per kilometre.so 300g/km thats about 480g/mile –
