dont realy do the skips one of my crew used to but he’s gone back to our squat in portugal.
all the stuff we recycle is took to scrap yards, the metal parts are anyway the rest is given to the council. my local council is not recycling tetra pack at the mo so that is taken to the next council down the valley once a month.
we do all household apliences apart from fridges, freazers, de humidifiers & air conditioning units. the metal parts are scraped and the plastic binned. once managed to get the non recyclable parts of a cavalier estate into a bin over a few months….January 23, 2008 at 2:29 pm #1210069Anonymoustarifa wrote:what do you do with all the stuff you recycle?(are you a skip shopper too? – amazing the amount of food that goes to waste)

skips are great for food, i couldn’t believe the stuff they throw away, but its got worse over the years, first locking the bins why? then a certain s’market started pouring bleach all over everything in an attempt to stop people taking the thrown away food – what the fuck is going on, if you tried to explain that to a man from mars he’d never believe you! its not sane

you could still save some stuff, but made it more difficult, having to get it, transport it, wash it etc just ruined things, the food, ur clothing . . . what a mess!
just pure bloody mindedness in my opinion
