      all support for 98 and 98SE will cease on 16/1/04
      MS support
      you can check when all other OS’s will be supported to as well

        Ive had a look through the other OS support cut off dates and anything but XP Pro ends support in the next year or 2…
        ME ends support this coming december and W2K isnt far behind,XP Home doesnt even get an extended support phase…so be sure and get those updates while you can

          Following an outcry,mainly from a few developing African nations…Windows 98 has had something of a repreive.
          Updates will be available for a good while yet.
          Somewhat cynical descision by Microsoft imo….i’m thinking they just dont want whole countries switching to Linux

            If you were cynical you’d be tempted to say that even microsoft has no faith in it’s operating systems.
