Hi Y’all.
I’m back from time to time to see how you are all doing. There is probably a proper techie section for this but I’m feeling lazy.
This may sound stupid but how do you uninstall Mozilla Firefox? I’ve been trying for an hour or so now and can’t figure it out.
Hope you are all well.
Chrispy.
April 13, 2014 at 7:00 pm #1277934the should be an option in control panel > add or remove programs (XP) or “programs and features” (Win 7) to uninstall firefox.

Was wondering where you were.
April 14, 2014 at 11:10 am #1277939I foolishly let my mum use my laptop last night to buy some dog food…….BIG MISTAKE. she some how managed to send my laptop in a melt down and fuck it up. THANKFULLY Lenovo put a wonderful little button on there products that backs up EVERYTHING on the HDD, this includes any installed programs, so I’ve had to take the arduous task of pressing this button. Last time I let her use it…..Silly bloody woman :laugh_at:

There is. In control panel under add or remove programs. It populates a big list and you can normally just click to uninstall. If you try this with Firefox it does bugger all.
April 14, 2014 at 1:38 pm #1277935there is an uninstall script in c:program files (might be c:program files(x86) if you have a 64 bit PC). although Firefox can go tits up to the point it needs to be uninstalled, its unusual to have to do this. If it doesn’t work the “correct” way I’d remove the entire directory, install ccleaner and use that to get rid of any registry keys/remnants (beware that this will also remove all your active logins to sites) then reinstall firefox and immediately also install adblock edge, as its often ads and toolbars that hog resources and knacker browsers in this fashion.
