Once again violence affects everyone 🙁
Quote:Ambulance off road after attack
An ambulance crew had to lock themselves in their vehicle after a gang of men smashed the driver’s window and kicked the doors. Around eight attackers tried to break into the ambulance in pursuit of a man who had sought refuge in the vehicle. The paramedic and medical technician were shaken but unhurt following the incident at Rhyl in Denbighshire.
Three local men were arrested but later released without charge. The ambulance is now off the road for repairs.
The incident happened on Wednesday after the ambulance crew responded to a 999 call.
This mindless act of a few individuals will affect many more people in the area
Dafydd Jones-Morris, regional ambulance officerAs the crew were helping their patient into the ambulance a young man jumped in through the back door.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said it appeared that the man was trying to escape from approximately eight other men gathered outside.
One of the attackers smashed the glass in the driver’s cab and tried to climb into the ambulance.
The crew, who do not want to speak to the media about the ordeal, told him to get out whilst trying to shield their patient and the man seeking refuge.
North Wales regional ambulance officer Dafydd Jones-Morris said the attack was “despicable”.
“This mindless act of a few individuals will affect many more people in the area with the loss of a vital emergency ambulance that will now be unavailable to us whilst forensic tests and later repairs take place,” he added.

Quote:Ymosodiad ar ambiwlansMae criw ambiwlans wedi gorfod cloi eu hunain yn eu cerbyd wedi i ddynion dorri ffenest y gyrrwr a chicio’r drysau.
Fe geisiodd tua wyth o ddynion dorri i mewn i’r ambiwlans wrth iddyn nhw chwilio am ddyn oedd yn ceisio lloches yn y cerbyd.
Roedd y parafeddyg a’r technegydd meddygol wedi eu hysgwyd ond ni chawsant eu hanafu yn y digwyddiad yn y Rhyl, Sir Ddinbych.
Cafodd tri o ddynion lleol eu harestio ond cawsant eu rhyddhau yn ddigyhuddiad.
Fe ddigwyddodd yr ymosodiad ddydd Mercher wedi i’r criw ambiwlans ymateb i alwad 999.
Wrth i’r criw helpu cleifion i mewn i’r ambiwlans, neidiodd dyn i mewn drwy’r drws cefn.
Torri’r ffenest
Dywedodd llefarydd ar ran y Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans ei bod yn ymddangos fod y dyn yn ceisio dianc rhag grŵp o ddynion oedd wedi ymgasglu y tu allan.
Fe dorrodd un o’r dynion y gwydr ger sedd y gyrrwr a cheisio dringo i’r ambiwlans.
Dywedodd y criw wrtho am ddod allan tra roedden nhw’n diogelu’r claf a’r dyn oedd yn ceisio lloches.
Dywedodd swyddog ambiwlans rhanbarthol y gogledd, Dafydd Jones-Morris, fod yr ymosodiad yn “ffiaidd”.
“Bydd gweithred difeddwl ychydig o unigolion yn effeithio ar lawer mwy o bobol yn yr ardal gan nad yw ambiwlans brys hanfodol bellach ar gael.”
Dywedodd y byddai’r cerbyd yn cael ei atgyweirio ac yn mynd drwy profion fforensig.”
