it ended up being too heavy to sit on top of the piece of hardboard and two rentacrates that is in the studio corner (these were starting to cave in), so it sat in the corner of the table I use for electronics work / maintenance until I realised I had a SVHS output on the other old laptop. it is not very high resoution at all but is handy for displaying level meters, the multimeter software and other big stuff and can be used as a old skool visualisation system (I wonder how many folk remember the ones which normally used a 68000 based embedded motherboard triggering with DMA and a motorola CRT controller sending out PAL composite to a bank of monitors? (Sometimes Amigas were used for this, or at least for the front end)
