Maybe I’ve just been spoilt by the level of traffic on SJ, but it seems that the only people actually posting on here are the 3 or 4 people who have migrated from there.

So what gives? Is it always this quiet or are you all just avoiding us?

maybe it’s block at some peoples work, or they all went to urban75 or tidytrax web site 😛

It’s more a case of quality over quantity here although banter’s fine. Having said that things pick up after lunch time though with a lot of people here being at work except for Use who’s living it up in France. Still it’s nice to have lots of new faces about. What do you all make of the site anyway?

as a resource I think party vibe is absolutely banging.

I like the entertainment value of SJ though. tough break for the admins, they seem to put up with enough shit as it is.

It seems like a decent enough site.

Plenty of good people, some of which I know from SJ and parties.

It’s just that when I’m in work I’m used to almost real-time posting, so if you post something, you get a reply more or less straight away. Conversely, here I posted something at about 10:30am, did some work, went to lunch, came back and only 2 people had posted in the main chat section in the intervening 2 hours.

I just thought it might have been a little busier.

its a different usage pattern here – people often lurk for ages before posting, or they make a load of posts and then go off and do something in real life where they don’t have regular net access and come back to the site a few days/weeks/months later.

it does make you a bit suspicious surely that SJ is hacked just before a big rave weekend? Probably not the feds but maybe someones got a lot of beef with UK ravers or free parties and wants to try and fuck things up?

Nah, that was just a laugh.

It was hacked by a large number of PCs in a botnet.

I don’t think it was an attack against SJ in particular and I don’t think it was anything to do with any SJ users.

Either way, it pissed our ISP off enough to get us booted.
