TV star Gail Porter in hunt for baldness cure
TV STAR Gail Porter has tried a variety of oils and potions in a bid to find a cure for her baldness, it emerged today.
The Portobello-born celebrity contracted stress-related alopecia last year, causing her hair to fall out in clumps.
A new TV documentary will be shown on the BBC later this month, which charts how she is coming to terms with her baldness.
After being advised by a top NHS dermatologist that the chance of complete hair recovery is very low, Gail said: “I think I look like a wee wrinkled old prune.”
The documentary, One Life – Gail Porter Laid Bare, will be broadcast on BBC1, on May 31.
