…..resonating through 11 dimention hyperspace
sometimes i love how cheesy psytrance can be. : )

we do now 😉
November 28, 2006 at 10:42 pm #1094922sounds like a Terance Mckenna quote ..RIP

November 28, 2006 at 11:01 pm #1094928They were great rambles and I love them too :weee: Might go and find one to listen to in a bit :groucho: [listening to pv radio just now:wink:]

RIP indeed and a great loss to us

Haha, I remember an old Acid Trance record where they had added a few quotes at the end that spoofed the type of lyrics you hear in trance.
“slide down my rainbow of your love in your trance pants” …..and similar things.
November 29, 2006 at 9:23 am #1094934wheres the extra dimension come from. i’m only aware of 10 in quantum theory and superstring theory. check out http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php
but not when you are smashedNovember 29, 2006 at 9:42 am #1094935i know, i know, there are programs and stuff that go on about 11 dimensions, such as http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program_d.html
but they don’t explain it, and the 10 dimensional theory doesNovember 29, 2006 at 12:53 pm #1094919audiocraft wrote:check out http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php
but not when you are smashedInteresting stuff. I started to get lost at the 6th and 7th though.
These later dimensions surely cannot be proven? Or do they just use their own labels and descriptions for these dimensions so they can then use them as a tool for theory and discussion on time and probability. What I mean is do they use their perception of dimensions to simplify things so discussion and study of such issues becomes easier? Surely they can’t actually be aware that these dimensions exist as it’s all theory, no?
November 29, 2006 at 2:11 pm #1094936from my understanding of it ( and i left school without any quals) its a conceptual tool. string theory isn’t even a theory, cos a theory has to be testable, and theres no way of testing it. and scientists get just as zelous about there ideas as religious zelots. an example- astro phsicists measure intersteller distances by what they call standard candles. these are type 1a supernova ( a small white dwarf star that circles a larger star sucking matter from it until it reaches a mass 1.4 times that of our sun and then explodes)problem is, recent observations of a fairly close ( in intersteller terms) type 1a going pop deduced that it was not 1.4 times the solar mass, in fact much larger. with this being the case the candles are not standard, therfore all measurements of interstellar distances are wrong and uncalculable, and it puts a right spanner in the dark energy and dark matter theorys. but go on any science forum and try to discuss it and all you get is silence. its all just ideas, most of wich are pretty unprovable.thats why in my thinking the 10 dimensional construct describes all that ever was, is and could possibly be ( theoreticaly) and anymore than that is ridiculous. its all wordplay and mind games anyway. once you get past the 4th dimension (time) its all what if’s really.allthough there are some bloody strange results to be had firing photons at receptors wich really boggle the mind, but in a funny way what they are saying is lifes what you make it(its all a probability wave function until you observe it, causing the wave to break down and become reality ( a quantum event) my head hurts now, i’m going back to oscilating air particles by electromagnetic pulses ( writting tunes as most normal people would call it)
November 29, 2006 at 6:59 pm #1094932psytrance is the 11th dimention obviously

December 4, 2006 at 10:03 pm #1094933ha! reminds me of track 1 on U.F.ORB (the orb).
where can i find some shaman?-sounds ace to mong out an think deep shit to:weee:!December 4, 2006 at 10:27 pm #1094938fruitisbad wrote:…..resonating through 11 dimention hyperspace
sometimes i love how cheesy psytrance can be. : )Obviously they haven’t heard of Membrane Theory, which postulates 12 dimensions! 😉
My faves are –
“You enter again the world of trance. Please be aware that these sounds can re-interconnect your mind and soul, so let your mind FLOW! Let your mind FLOW! DEEPER! AND DEEPER! AND DEEPER!!!” (Hmmm not quite as strange without the little happy “dink-da-dink da-dink-do-do!” noise behind it)
Or the insane –
“I welcome you to the district of POWER! Enjoy now the purple zone of ACTIVITY!”
December 5, 2006 at 9:03 am #1094937brane theory or m- theory, whichever you prefer, and i’ve never heard an actual explanation of the 11th and 12th dimensions, whereas 10 dimensions can actually be explained in a clear and logical way. to me 11 and 12 dimensional space are just ways to make equations work that are wrong. what is the test for brane theory? there is none, so its an idea, not a theory.10 dimensional space describes all that has been, could have been, is, and maybe, and might not be. all possibilities are described. brane theory still fits into 10 dimensions. any description you give to the 11th and 12th dimension are covered in the 10th. as i implied in my previous post, until we can calculate the size and mass of the universe everything else is in limbo. mass == energy so if you cant calculate the mass, you cant calculate the energy, and until then you will never get a unifying theory, which m- theory attempts to be .If you accept the 11th and 12th dimensions you can just keep on adding dimensions ad infinitum

Going up high than that to the 12th dimension he sees these individual strings linking together to form a membrane.
Actually I’ve never heard a description for dimensions 6 through 10.
Except I think Kaku said he expected they were very small?Quote:whereas 10 dimensions can actually be explained in a clear and logical way. to me 11 and 12 dimensional space are just ways to make equations work that are wrong. what is the test for brane theory? there is none, so its an idea, not a theory.10 dimensional space describes all that has been, could have been, is, and maybe, and might not be. all possibilities are described. brane theory still fits into 10 dimensions. any description you give to the 11th and 12th dimension are covered in the 10th. as i implied in my previous post, until we can calculate the size and mass of the universe everything else is in limbo. mass == energy so if you cant calculate the mass, you cant calculate the energy, and until then you will never get a unifying theory, which m- theory attempts to be .If you accept the 11th and 12th dimensions you can just keep on adding dimensions ad infinitumWell I still don’t know why there CAN’T be an infinite number of dimensions.
10, 11, or 12 might be a good place to stop for the math to be pretty to look at, or for it to still be something the human mind could feebly try to visualise. But why should the universe care about our perceptions?
It could go off and do it’s own thing and leave us never clever enough to figure it out. -
