Ok i know this aint everyones taste in music but i thought i would put this thread up for pure appreciation of their music. seriously if you aint heard them, then please give them a try. i was raised on this music and i appreciated every minute of it!!!

Bizarrely I’ve had One Way stuck in my head all night at work. Then I get home and there’s a post here about the Levellers. :weee:

Saw them live loads of years ago and it was mucho fun. Quality didgeridoo action going on as well.

Used to love the Levellers – they blew New Model Army off stage in 1990 – quite a feat.

I didn’t know they were all addicted to heroin now. Knew one of them was as my mate used to live on the same site as him in the early 90’s

presumably they have now since got off it or stabilised themselves or they wouldn’t be able to keep gigging/touring? (unless the band is mostly new members like what has happened to lots of the 80s bands)

they live down here now and drink in my local sometimes. are a bit arrogant though… expect a lock in when they turn up 10 mins after closing time just cos the are the levellers :yawn:

my friend decked one of them cos he wouldn’t get off with her. she’s a bit of a one. :laugh_at:

beautiful daze is quite good though, but they are facists on the door. they even picked up a hitch-hiker last year, took him all the way to the festi site, then dumped him outside and made him pay full whack :coin:

they talk the talk (or sing the song), but they don’t walk the walk

Well, even though they havnt made a good impression on some, i find they are the only band whos lyircs i can really see meaning in. And for that reason i love their music.

They came and played an accoustic set in the club i worked in a couple of years ago. Believe it or not they behaved like a right bunch of fucking divas and moaned about everything from their rider to the lighting, not what i expected from the original crusty rock band. Always used to like them but after meeting them i was put off a bit
