I fixed the cheap mirror (before the glass fell out the housing and shattered) but this time didn’t dump the hot glue into my palm (its only just recovered from last week) – hurt like fuck but after sinner and liloo’s misfortunes I thought it was low down on the injury scale TBH..

tbh i did feel pretty shit and it was 5am! also i hear her family are a bit mental so me turning up at 5am then hearing odd sounds coming from a room don’t think they’d be too happy with me hahahahah

I fixed a LCD monitor, thanks to a website this smart Chinese dude put up about how to do it. Now I can use this on the machine I capture video on as it is too old to properly work with HD / widescreen monitors – was using a old CRT screen but it is not sharp and makes noise what gets into the audio equipment..

It was only one component too which costs 80p, a lot of folk would either have scrapped the monitor or bought a entire inverter board..

When I saw his video I thought I recognised the accent, it turns out he lives in the part of Malaysia my mum grew up in (she said it was avery posh area so he must be doing well) but he went to Uni in Scotland…

I will put his link up on my blog, will probably buy his e-book as its only £20 and you pay about £50 or more for stuff like that here in the UK…

exercise is gooood. crisps bad… but taste so good and so cheap!!

Got the my enitre room lit up with LEDs, just some cheap strings intended for Christmas trees and a couple more in two desk lamps. Only 25W and enough for the whole space (even close work) using way less leccy than halogens which run hot and blow easily, better light than CFLs and less harsh on the eyes late at night – and only about £20 in total (you can end up paying fuckloads for mains voltage LED units) raaa

Will put more on my the tech blog later – The way the Xmas tree lights are fixed to the ceiling and powered might not be the prettiest or comply to EU safety standards and I would not do this with other lamps or it would probably be a extra job for Fireman Mungo (where is he these days?) but it is impressive how much light you get from these…
