We got close before to having a pv organized event with a tens, but it’s pretty hard to actually get it off the ground when everyone is mainly communicating through internet alone. Unforeseen circumstances I think stopped the last attempt from happening for one of the main people who was going to be doing the organizing. Iirc the land owner they knew that may of lent/rented some land to us had a loss in their family, so it would of been disrespectful to hold a party whilst they were grieving.

The main problem is finding someone willing to put in the time and effort who has good organizing experience. I defiantly think it’s worth another shot though as I can imagine it being an absolute blast if we can pull it off. There’s no doubt we’ve got all the people needed to run it, it’s just the organizing and overseeing of it running smoothly (as in the preparation) that is what will be tricky as without someone motivated and with the required knowledge taking lead the organization will be too slap dash as too many people will be trying to give ideas with no mediator imo.

I think, like last attempt, we should make a thread about it and see who’s up for chipping in and what they can do to help the event and see what the situation is. The most experienced guys and gals that know how to run a party all either have kids, have settled down or live at one of the far ends of the country. No offense to the younger lot, but I’d not feel comfortable even organizing it my self as I just don’t have the experience to make sure it runs smoothly and have every box ticked for it to fit inside the law etc etc.

It wouldn’t be official without DrB cutting the ribbon, so we would have to either pay for his flight to england, all go down to him or start a people smuggling ring.

If I had equipment still I would be like “name the time and place and you got me booked but I have nothing but a bag of vinyl now. 🙁

Renting is always an option, OR I have some vague connection I could try and persuade but then it wouldn’t be a PV party, t would be dominated by that particular rigs following so that’s a no go. I know for a fact if biotech ever dusts of his system in the future I will travel to it. Rig looks sick and he has got a great collection of tunage so it would be worth it.
