Why? I just laugh at the fact that someone has actually gone to the effort to shock and offend people.

when you are involved in any way with a subculture that takes over property and land costing hundreds of thousands without permission, and thus creates powerful enemies such as the Police and rich landowners, there are times when you have to take things seriously.

Those who are determined to stop us certainly do take things seriously…

90% of is harmless – but 10% of it is actually targeted at individuals and/or crews and has caused damage in the past.

When the arguments kick off, people take sides and it does carry through to the parties. The damage is subtle though rather than immediate, and takes a few months to manifest itself.

On occasions it also helps the cops identify who is who (SJ arguments have already helped cops in SE England get ASBOs on people) –

Also other threads on SJ help the cops link the rave scene (however tenuously) with other crime/anti-social behaviour or unrepentant problematic class A drug use.

Arguments are better than positive threads for the cops’ or antis’ intelligence purposes as people take sides and defend their friends or crews. From this its frighteningly easy to work out who associates with whom and where “divide and conquer” tactics might work…

On another level it reinforces a culture where people are really only “friends” when they are on drugs, and bitch at each other on the comedowns, and no one trusts one another any more. This was already happening before the forums existed; but why add to the negative side of things?

I just posted my first thread on there and was suprised to get a friendly intelligent response. No one accused me of being ob!

outside the “mud” section (like in rigs or vehicles section) its actualy a bit different, as people want to show off their knowledge. It tends to only work though when there isn’t much room for disagreement and with stuff like vehicle maintenance there is usually only one right way to do things..

The OB thing is more aimed at younger newbies who expect to be instantly given party info.. (although these days I don’t think OB are the risk but journalists are)

the spiritual section is ok aswell

i do read SJ, but hardly ever post. i think its much more anonomous. i can name loadsa usernames from here, and associate them with a certain posting style almost. at SJ i would struggle to name one.

PV all the way for me. much more friendly people in general.

sometimes sj gets so abusive that i have to seek out some peace here on partyvibe .anti norfolk remarks are getting a bit boring on sj .its been cranked up now for about the last 2 years and at times it hard not to rise above it .i,ll continue to use both forums .its whatever i feel like at the time .oh yeah pv radio is wicked as well .:love: .

i think partyvibe having over 4000 more people bothering to register to it than squatjuice says something….

I think everyone has to realise that neither place is real, they represent a tiny view of the scene, and are populated by people with far too much time on their hands.
