don’t blame yourself. some people can’t take a bit of constructive feedback without throwing all the toys out of the pram

Squatjuice and Partyvibe both exist for a reason, and often that reason is to captivate both sides of a person who uses them.
I still don’t see the need to come and throw dead animal images in your faces to get a reaction, but there’ll always be a few eh?

I feel that pretty much anything goes there, which is more true to my life experience. If you just deny the horrible stuff you never come to deal with it.I agree with that. Once you are an adult it’s wrong to shut things out and live in your own bubble of happyness and light whilst horrible shit is going on in the world around you.
However, I don’t agree with causing offence for the sake of causing offence. What is the point? It’s childish, no? If someone was bothering people at a party in a similar way then I’d like to think they would be removed from that party and told to fuck off. Wouldn’t you agree? When people are hiding behind a computer screen it becomes much easier for the real nobheads inside people to come out though doesn’t it.
If there was a good reason for a dead cat picture to be on here then I’m sure it would stay but there clearly isn’t one. It’s just been put up to offend and get a reaction in a very schoolyard kind of way.

July 11, 2007 at 9:12 am #1114687its a long standing myth that PV is just a “fluffy hippy site”, what it actually is is a mixture of new enthusiastic young ravers who want to party but not fuck up their lives/burn out, older heads with a lot of experience and many world citizens who bring a welcome international perspective to the site – and all of these people can normally interact without pointless conflict.
There is loads of discussion over the “heavier” aspects of life – from the negative effects of drug use to international relations and crime/social breakdown in Great Britain -its all there for those who still have the attention span to read more then a 5 line post.
Drugs are no excuse for being dumbed down, I’ve caned fuck loads over the years (and so have many of the older ones here) and my brain still works.
There are actually people around who can exchange opposing views without making personal attacks, or aren’t caught up in a culture of casual hate and racism – which clearly isn’t going to go down well on a forum where at least 30% of the regular users are not from the UK!
