also i take all shit, jokes, racism and aids jokes with a pinch of salt.

there was a time when i was quite new, when i didn’t really understand it and was trolled quite horribly, i took it seriously because i knew the person. he’s dead now.

now i just plod along, and give people shit back if i’m feeling grumpy. other than that, i understand it’s quite controversial, but it’s not all that bad once you settle in

the racism and negativity is a separate issue which isn’t just because of SJ, it exists on lots of other forums and in real life as well, its just is an inevitable consequence of a ruthless competitive capitalist world, and where people do too much drugs for the wrong reasons.

There was racial tension on the party scene back in the 90s but it was held back whilst people were high and had money/jobs – it was only fluffier due to better drugs and more optimism in society. People started burning out on the drugs by the mid-late 90s as well and thats what fuelled the darkside.

I might start a seperate thread on it later..

I think the idea that the party scene has some kind of PLUR agenda and that all the people on it are working in a positive way towards a new world is a fallacy. There is no shared idea and hasn’t ever been really.
Squatjuice just shows how ugly people really are when you can actually hear what they are saying. One thing that amazes me about it is how standard peoples attitudes are, for a so-called alternative scene. If you were hanging out with your dad who did K and some mate of his from school who was once in the BNP for 6 weeks, that’s pretty much what it’s like.
