Some on advice on buying a cd mixer

Iwould just save yr cash mate and get the pioneer cdj 1000 mk3’s they are bit pricey but deffo worth every penny!

Yeah man I know…I use them where I used to be resident…but this mixer i’m looking, its because I’m a mobile -cuz i’m no more resident- dj…plus no money…lol…so got to stick to the cheap…those are great, plus multiple cueing (hot cue) system is so cool, too bad 🙁 no cash.

my mate spilt beer all in the pitch control of my old decks. just took them to HTFR (rip off!) and they replaced the pitch fader and they worked good as new (well they werent randomly speeding up, slowing down, going backwards etc!) and tbf to HTF it only cost about 30 quid, wished it would have cost more to teach my mate a lesson as he never told me he’d done it until i cornered him on it.

for that kinda money (especially for psy) you may aswell just get 4 middle of the road cd’s …

ive played on quite a few of the top end pioneers and although i can appreciate why they stick a price tag that makes ya heart go faster you may as well get 3 or 4 of a good quality deck.

yeah they have the 200 mk2s at my local record shop and every time i’m on them i do have to cry a little and then scowl at 1210 they have next to it.
i have never really liked the all in one units, they just seem very cramped and its harder to upgrade. you cant just change the mixer any time you want. of course the typical response is just “save for 1000 mk3’s” but they are bloody expensive. i ended up saving for some pioneer 800 mk2’s and they are truly awesome, couldn’t fault them.
