If you do go let us know how you get on.This is on my wish list I should be more organised with booking time off work!!
June 1, 2012 at 1:57 am #1254039yeh cool, i’ve never bothered to go for summer solstice… is it all still fenced off there?… either way sounds like something really nice… hope for sun… maybe i can convince some cronies from home to temporarily leave the village… i’ll hopefully go anyhow… unless the weather is really bad

Look, there’s stone circles everywhere. There’s parties everywhere. There’s hot chicks everywhere.
I am not about to go on a “magic mystical experience” to a spot I grew up near at my time of life if it means delays on my “to be shagged” list. It just doesn’t pay to keep women waiting.
OK? I’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for. I’m very sure whoever makes it down there will have a good time meeting other “lost” people who are out for a good time.

My dad is obsessed with avalon, ley lines, king arthur, I didnt go abroad until I was 18 (and had to actually invite my self along with my parents!!)
and we didnt have much money at all and my aunt had a house in somerset, so all our holidays were there, and we got taken everywhere where there was a stone circle or well or mystical tree etc etcThankfully as kids its just a magical, and as an adult I still go there too, glasto tor and challice well are where I want my ashes scattered!!
I remember finding a £5 note in the stone circle and being so upset as I had to share it with my sister coz my parents told me, and was made to feel really bad about wanting to keep it as my parents told me it was prob a little old ladies – I was clued up enough to know it was prob some rich wankers!! tee hee!!
but despite all this i dont ever remember doing solstice, but because it does have such a place in my heart I would love to go fence or no fence 🙂

I think sometimes when its ‘on your door step’ you dont make as much effort – when I lived in glouster the only time I’d go out for countryside walks etc was when friends from london came visiting!!!
