I don’t get shouted at for having an opinion thats genuine on party vibe and I can talk in a serious sense about serious issues in the free party life on here.
I am a person who is willing to here other opinions and learn from it but I will put my message across if I feel strongly about it.
I just didn’t feel I could do that on squat juice.:toxic:
It seems to me that it is like the commercial free party web site, when free parties are about the underground of the dance culture sene.

dumbing everything down doesn’t help – especially when those trying to stop parties are getting smarter and are serious about doing so.
there’s also a lot of people here who want to help newer crews start up and it needs to happen as the average life of a party crew is 3 years these days..
I suppose a lot of people though are prepared to just treat their “alternative” lifestyles as a rite of passage – and simply then give up when they get older – we had our bit of fun, so fuck the rest of you..
people can carry on being dumbed down if they want and not caring beyond the weekend – OTOH I bet a lot of these same people 5 years down the line may not only regret their earlier excesses but (perhaps with a kid and a job) they will be the ones calling 999 to a free party down the road because its “too noisy?”

I find it ironic many people think I’m an “intellectual” as I actually totally loathed school and got chucked out of uni for computer hacking..
me and my mates sabotaged an entire set of French orals by short circuiting the schools electric system so all the tape recorders/audio equipment stopped workiing; the school had to pass everyone to keep the grades up (and I have no regrets whatsoever for doing this!)
anyway I would be up for the weekend if anythings going on provided it don’t involve fighting riot cops…

I appreciate all that you’re saying – i have a full time job & i also put on parties. I also understand that, whether you & I agree with it or not, doing free parties is illegal so the police and the general public will treat them as such.
There are no two ways about it.
I got over all the ‘fight for your right to party’ ‘down with the babylon’ bollocks years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as pissed off as the next bloke when OB come in all heavy handed but at the end of the day you can’t go to illegal events and then be all surprised when the police try to stop them.
As far as getting older and moving on goes – that’s just the way of the world isn’t it? You partied, you loved it, then you grew up and settled down a bit. I don’t see how that this constitutes some sort of debt to the new generation who are just doing what you did back in the day?
See I was complaining about this site being far too serious and I’ve already been dragged down (or is it up?) into a civilised conversation… I don’t like it!
