March 16, 2011 at 11:58 am #1236466On this forum a while back people put up a warning pic of someone who was suspected of fraud in the Brighton area. They stopped short of advocating any revenge attacks against the suspect, just to deny him access to any free parties.
that said putting up a FB profile of someone and accusing them of violent crime on forums increasingly highly monitored by Police is not really that different to reporting them anyway.
Even if there isn’t enough evidence to charge due to the victim not wanting to make a complaint, the feds keep close watch on suspected youth gang members.
This started off with Metpol Operation Open Source in London about 6 years ago – but now constabularies across England and Scotland as well as heddlu and PSNI have dedicated teams working together to monitor criminality being discussed on social networks.

all very well, but if there are people in the scene who are robbing people, taking people hostage etc and certan members of the board know who they are, then i think naming and shaming them is totally the right thing to do, weather the police monitor it or not, and quite frankly if the scene are aware of these feckless idiots and the cops arrest them, double bubble in my eyes!
however based on the norfolk slasher post on sj, how much personall info & f/b pages were posted on there and no charges brought, i think we can be safe in the knoweldge that plod wouldnt give 2 shits
name & shame!
in a sociaty where we police our own parties and look after our punters, i think toocooltom has a duty to post these cowardly wankers details every where!
March 16, 2011 at 12:17 pm #1236467I’m not saying that people shouldn’t name them but should just be aware of the bigger picture.
What will most likely happen is if these scum are successfully ostracised out of parties they will commit violent crimes in town instead, right under the noses of CCTV operators or neaby to cop patrols, and against victims who will testify as they aren’t drug users or illegal ravers, so this time they will be nicked.
The publicised Internet discussions can be used as “soft intelligence” by both feds and lawyers to show the attackers have previous prior records of violent crime and hopefully increase whatever sentence they gets.
I’m not 100% sure if Internet evidence can serve as bad character evidence but Facebook with its insistence on using real names and the traceable links to friends and associates is a particularly good evidence-gathering resource.

March 16, 2011 at 12:21 pm #1236482public naming and shaming i agree with. it would stop people thinking there so holy and shit, would bring everyone on to the same social standing
plus criminals would end up being so embarrassed they wouldn’t be seen for a while, thus lowering the uk crime rateMarch 16, 2011 at 12:56 pm #1236473@General Lighting 425298 wrote:

yeah totally, name and shame them, then when they do relise they are not wanted and they move to there nearist high street to commit there cowadly antics they will be cought by the authorities,
in the mean time these cowardly people need public humilation!in a sociaty that is self policed to a certan extend i belive this is the moast responsible thing to do, name & shame!
im going to read that document looks intresting
March 16, 2011 at 1:12 pm #1236497If not as a revenge thing at least to warn people not to go off with the people named and shamed, and to get them out of parties.
Thing is, if these guys turn up at a party, and everyone kicks the shit out of them, do you think they won’t come back with more people, looking for revenge? obviously these guys are into some fairly violent crime, do you really think if they turn up with a bunch of mates, your average wonky wetty is going to have a chance against them?
March 16, 2011 at 1:57 pm #1236483a bear is the best line of party protection lol
but seriously, if it was to happen that the instigators returned within a larger group of trouble makers to confront the revellers, the likelihood of the hoodlums ‘winning’ the battle would be 50-50. of cause the wonky wettys as yoi so put would be battered and bruised but so would some of the hoodlums, i tgink this would show them that not all party goers are are a push over. but thats just the way i look at it

har! wonky wetties! maybe at some parties, but there are many people who attend raves who know how to handle themselves and would nottolerate twats,
they need to be named and shamed on all forums so people know to not enter into any form of dialog with these people. im not talking about smashing there oversized 3 eyed melon heads in!
as my mum used to say if you ignore them they will go away
and as big jeff says if they dont go away they get there face weaved into the floor!
name & shame!
March 16, 2011 at 2:23 pm #1236484moonie said wonky wettys first, i used it cause i liked it

i really hope he does post up there f/b profiles, im of the thinking that if this just gets slipped under the carpet it kinda shows that scum like this can get away with anything with out reprisal.

exactly! im not from round those ways, we occasionaly venture up there but very very rarely, but i know if this happend at a party i was at, i would never want to see them again, and i would never want another raver to fall pray to their cowardly ways
March 16, 2011 at 3:21 pm #1236489i’ve always been waery of free parties, always had a thought that it’d be me face down in blood and mud. which is why i don’t really go to to them, but depending on the location and people i would. guess i worry about thing like this to much

tbh your right to be wary of free parties, there are no security , no police, no cctv etc you are at the mercy of the punters and rig owners, and if they are not responsible then things can go wrong.
its when horrible instances like this norfolk kidnapping thing happen that people need to make a stand an show idiots that behaviour will not be tolaerated!
when the norfolk slasher attacked, that was all over the web and he had his tail between his legs in no time like the proppa blouse he was,
but this shouldnt stop you from going to parties, there are many more decent people than there are twats!
March 16, 2011 at 3:59 pm #1236495I no the names of both the people who did this, and the guy who got pulled into a car and hit with a hammer. Dark stuff indead……
