thought it was quite a good little festival although it could have had more different music styles instead of just psytrance and techno.
was muddy as fuck and we ended up pitching are tent in the wrong place with quite a walk to the entrance lolpictures to come…

ive just got back from the big chill and i am absolutly gagging for a bit of psytrance and techno! :weee:
August 8, 2008 at 8:58 pm #1177198Yeah we went. Enjoyed the music muchly although managed to miss most of it due to kipping in tent too long ! Heard some good techno and psytrance despite managing to miss most of the headline DJs and all our friends playing. No doubt there were chillout acts too, but didn’t get to hear them because chilling on the main field^Hmudflats was almost impossible.
It was chaos when we got there and we ended up in wrong place too, camping in the crew field – was not a problem until new security turned up and started insisting on wristbands ! Fortunately we slept through most of that daytime and come evening it all relaxed again 😉
Mud … yeah. Not as bad as some festies but pretty deep in places ! Big drawback for me was no place to sit and chill, for sure the tea tents had small but quite welcoming seating areas but you couldn’t just lounge around on the grass listening to music. Any visit to the main field involved a sustained mission through the mud and then being on your feet for some hours either dancing or just standing around.
At least being on a hilltop meant the water all ran off by Sunday (meaning the mud just got sticker rather than runnier). But OTOH you could tell from the edge in the wind that we were the highest thing between us and the Irish Sea !
I’m already looking ahead to festies in August/September next year after 2 years of cold sodden camping in July/August …
