incidentally dunno if you remember this as well but when I was a kid there was this green alien puppett Gilbert on telly and he would sing

“how far to Hitchin…. its Hitchin I’m missing”

he would also get guests on his show, ask them totally random stuff or make idiots of them and/or squirt bare green snot over them. it was proper bo! the bloke who played him (Phil Cornwell) as well said he was always on speed most of the time 😀
