at the front on the floor are 4 void loaded X1s, the stacks are HD 215s, philishaves on top of that and jbl horns at at the top

looks a great venue as well

it was good… sold 300 tickets in advance and all the rest (almost 200) went on the door. was a good crowd. the only hitch was that a proper line up had been arranged for the date that got pulled and the music wasn’t as varied for this one because we’d only been planning a gig in a bar

for a first attempt it was wicked though

how much of the castle did you get to use?

I’m not a expert on castles but for some inexplicable reason (well being too pissed and stoned to do anything else) me and mudstomper ended up watching the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Did you have a load of space like that?

it was a massive, outdoor space in the city centre. there are gardens around the old norman castle and the roman wall. the building in that pic is the old crown court. opposite the rig is one of the towers of the norman castle and around the whole site is battlements of the same

the arches in the norman gate were all lit and along the wall there were burning torches. in the grounds we had a 30 metre marquee for the bar

the outdoor space could easily deal with 3000 people, but this was the first one there… there were some live bands there last weekend… give it a year and we might be able to do something much bigger if everyone plays the cards right

Anyway soon I will grab some photos of our new and improved sound system. Just need the pennies for an infinite 8 to power our new Psyko’s then I’ll get a photo of it all.

I know a little bit and I’ve been doing it a while but I’m hardly an expert. More of an amateur enthusiast.

Still, that is looking nice and I’d like to hear it with the Phili’s and radial tops. Good to see a stereo set up too.

Aye…2 psykos, 8 Hds and 4 A.S.S mx350. We’re gettin another 2 Psyko’s and then we will stick with that for a few years I think :weee:

Can’t wait to try and lift our rack. 4 Crown Ma1201’s, an infinite 8 and (until I replace it with a macro 2400) an RMX2450.

Back in the day when we had a load of amps, one of our racks had 1x CA18, 2 x RMX4050HD’s a C-Audio 3801 and a C-Audio 602. That was heavy enough, but nothing compared to that lot.

I don’t even want to think about how much weight that is in total. Must be close to 180kg maybe even 200.

Yeh I think I want to get rid of the crowns and get an FFA soon but I actually have had trouble finding an amp that sounds nicer than the macros on hd15s. I’ve tried them with Lab Gruppen fp3400’s and a large selection of QSC’s yet they sound nowhere near as rude as the macro’s.

It was quite an accident that we had such a complete overhall tbh but I’m glad it happened.
