Partyvibe have just taken another three month subscription payment from my paypal account (that I didn’t even realise was a repeated subscription). I had been unable to unsubscribe and still cannot figure out how to! I also cannot email anyone at Partyvibe through your ‘contact’ link regarding payments. Please can someone contact me regarding payments as this seems to be the only way that I can get in touch with anyone…
April 29, 2013 at 10:19 am #1272633It does state on the subscription page that it’s recurring.
Validity periods marked with a * indicate that this subscription is recurring.
After the initial subscription period is complete, the subscription will automatically be renewed with a new charge.
Did you subscribe through PayPal? If so you need to go into your PayPal account and cancel the subscription from there. If you have anymore problems please don’t hesitate to post them here, or you can private message me, any of the other moderators or Dr Bunsen the site owner.
Can you describe what you mean by…
I also cannot email anyone at Partyvibe through your ‘contact’ link regarding payments.
…and I’ll get someone to look into it if it’s a technical problem. If it’s just that you haven’t received a reply and the email sent ok, it’s most likely due to the time difference of where the person who reads the messages from that email lives. If it’s that the email isn’t sending, can you quote the exact email address you are trying to email and post a link to the page that gives you the link to the email address please.
Thanks

I had this on one of my accounts you can stop it via paypal.
April 29, 2013 at 3:27 pm #1272636The email address was submit@partyvibe.com that came up in windows mail I think (I don’t have an account with this). It is that I typed the email but it then asked me to set up a new email account and once it got to asking me about pop accounts etc it got beyond me! – it would not send without me doing this. Having an email that could be pasted into any internet account might be helpful…
April 29, 2013 at 3:38 pm #1272635I believe thats the email address used for submitting songs etc. to the radio station.
I also think the admin (the person who runs the site. Doctor Bunsen aka Dr B) lives in Australia, so depending on where you live there is obviously a problematic time difference. I hope your issue is resolved soon and if you have any further questions i’ll be about and i’ll help you as best I can.

To copy and paste an email link you would right click on the link and click “copy email address”.
AFAIK it’s your web browser’s settings that are making it pop up with windows mail, as it sounds like you don’t have a program installed on your computer to deal with email, but instead use some kind of web mail. Most browsers will automatically open up windows mail if they haven’t been assigned a custom email client when clicking on an email link. It would most likely happen on any website you tried to do the same thing on.
A “pop server” is the server where your email’s would be picked up from if you had a dedicated program to get your emails. What you were seeing then is windows mail’s own set up process. I believe it was asking you to give the details of you’re current email’s pop server, and it was just running a wizard to help you get set up on the windows mail software with your email. Again this is just the default thing windows mail does when no email accounts are set up to be used with it, and the same thing would happen any time you tried to send a direct email from a website (what ever site it was).
Did you manage to cancel the subscription ok?
April 29, 2013 at 7:20 pm #1272632Twitter contact is @partyviberadio
