December 28, 2008 at 6:51 pm #1188014Here’s some albums/EPs/sessions/mixes I’ve had on heavy rotation over the past few weeks:
Ian Brown – The Greatest

Ghostface Killah – Supreme Clientelle
JME – Shhh Hut Yur Muh
Atari Teenage Riot – Sick To Death EP
Man Or Astroman? – Maida Vale session
An old Roast tape with Kenny Ken, 5-0, Moose and Stevie Hyper DI wouldn’t say they’re all classic albums, but the following, in my opinion, out of many many others, are:
Stone Roses – Stone Roses

Descendents – Milo Goes To College
Crass – Feeding Of The 5000
Rudimentary Peni – Rudimentary Peni EP

Libertines – Up The Bracket
The King Blues – Under The Fog (the original, not the re-release)
Soundgarden – Super Unknown
Minor Threat – Complete Discography
Snuff -Snuff Said
etc
etc
etcAll absolute classics.
Also, followings tunes/songs have been stuck in my head lately:

The Verve – History
Project Mork – Gremlins
The Specials – Ghost Town

Good selection there –
The Prodigy Experience – none of their other stuff came close. Think it’s a personal thing, it comes from a particular point in time, everything that happened after i was introduced to that album is their fault lol 😉 – and i still love them for that :love:January 3, 2009 at 11:13 pm #1188053little luke;252416 wrote:They’ve commercially released four albums.ah i only know about 2 and recently saw somthing about a third in the making .. mby i am just behind the times and saw some old web site …

Not for me – ‘Your Love’ is one of my top choons of EVER! Also, seems to have been either overlooked somewhat, or just underated, a tune like that deserves loads of attention – often. But i hardly ever hear it mentioned in conversations about ‘The Prodigy’ – or online, or radio etc. . . . or maybe i just think it should get loads of mentions every day, even all these years later

I saw Portishead in December 2007 at the ATP Nightmare Before Chrstmas festival. It was the first time they’d played a gig in 10 years – they’d played on the Friday and Saturday nights, I saw them on the Saturday (got there too late on the Friday). It was spine-tingling hearing them play so many classic songs that I’d let slip to the back of my mind. My friend saw them both nights and said the Saturday was better. I’ve a recording of the Saturday somewhere, I’ll upload it.
