Oh, don’t confuse intelligence, experience, and education. They all add up to “smart” but in very different ways.
I think it does someone a big disservice to call them ‘average’, or worse, ‘boring’. People are hugely complex things, mentally and emotionally. Some do all they can to fit in with society and suppress much of their personality, and might come across as a bit dull on the outside (although they are possibly an insecure emotional wreck beneath it all), but you can be sure that they are just as human as you and have complex thoughts and feelings, even it they don’t outwardly show it.
I’m no psychologist and may be talking bollocks tbf, but I think it’s a good way to look at things if you want to get on with people.
