Are they the bass boxes from the original OOOPS, the ones we all put together in H’s house in Reading about 11(!) years ago?

You got it GL. These bins were built by us, starting by cutting the sheet material at my yard in Coley Park, on Tele for the BBC2 anti CJA documentary. They were then transferred to H’s house for completion, where they were painted, and put on the van to take to Didcot for a little known Dj from Bristol to come and play. If I remember correctly, you dropped a hardcore set that night, and our guest was Ronnie Size. (fact fans – we later brought him to Reading, where he played in the back room for an Advance Party gig for about £90 :crazy_dru – six years later he played the Matrix, 200yds up the road, for about :laugh_at: £900).

Anyways, back to the Didcot show, and the speakers were stuck to the floor, cos the paint was still wet.

Those bins went on to party all over the UK – legal, illegal, protestation (RTS/AP/CJA – Reading/London/Hull/Liverpool), festival (West Reading/Nottingham Waterfront/Brighton Dance Parade), canival (Notting Hill) and rally – plus Czech Tek 96/97 and Dutch Tek 01. They have a proper history, and I’m glad you were there to see them off. Hopefully, you and I will get to hear them again soon, under new management!!
