I don’t mean the frightening ones from illicit substances (which I have never had problems with ) but when you see something at home or whilst on the net which reminds you of the fun you had at the weekend…
in my case they can be triggered off by really little things like going into a shop and seeing travel books about “certain areas”, finding at home midweek a crumpled printout of an electronic map of a certain area with mobile phone numbers scribbled on it, even train tickets etc
and the memories come flooding back about the mad missions you went through to get to the rave, sneaking into fields and warehouses, the fun you had stomping and chatting to people, how mooosed all your friends were…..
anyone else get these?
I actually find them very therapeutic midweek and a good way of combating the negative feelings of comedowns / “battle fatigue” (the effects of weekend sleep deprivation) and reminding me why we all do this :biggreen:
August 11, 2005 at 6:17 pm #1066701Whats even better is when you walk past a complete stranger in the street, an for some reason you think you recognise them. You both stop an think then realise you met at a party an have a good old reminiss about what you got up to that weekend.
August 12, 2005 at 9:25 pm #1066700like when you finally get round to washing the clothes you were wearing at the weekend and check out the jeans or whatever and they are up to the ass in clay / mud / squatjuice / paint
and everything else smells of old woodsmoke and herb 🙂
and then you check the pockets and wonder just what was in that sweaty, scrunched up wrap
August 15, 2005 at 6:00 pm #1066699I quite like visiting old spots and letting it flood back.
Did it today on my bike actually. Went round some trails and visited a couple of old sites.
August 15, 2005 at 8:27 pm #1066703i totally know what your meaning– and too like somtimes after a party when you hear a certian track, it just takes you right back to that moment- when you heard it at the party- like just for a few mins it feels like your back in that moment, just with the vivid memories of having the time of your life being happier then you ever have been before without a care in the world just loving the music
August 16, 2005 at 9:05 am #1066702Like when you finaly do your waching and find your lighter you where looking for for ages and thought it was gone ??
Or when you have to wash your car (I mean even inside…) and find some stuff like old papers and realise it doesn’t belong to u, or people were tripping on the matter of the paper…
And let alone when you find pitcures on the report sections and realise you were at the party but it was ages ago..
Hummmm… love that feeling. -
