To buy ‘good food’ you don’t need to spend a massive amount of money, you just need to shop around and prepare everything yourself, you will save a fortune..
Easier said than done when your in work all day & knackered by the time you get home, also the time & effort needed to cook fresh from scratch only seems worth it when cooking for a few people, for a single person to frozen shit usually wins

🙁March 20, 2013 at 11:49 am #1149577My kettle is fucking stupid, when I put the button down it just pops back up again, I find myself pressing it about 4-5 times before it actually goes down and begins boiling.

You need to remember your nursery rhymes mate, it’s not you that should be putting the kettle on…if p0ly puts the kettle on, it’ll work first time every time!
You can go get the biscuits though!

there seem to be way more single straight men in Northern Europe who spend time cooking but that is also because they by and large have very flexible hours. Also what is sold at street vendors, beer halls, etc does seem to be healthier that what we have in the UK, irrespective of the ethnicity of who is cooking it (maybe it just is photographed better or that the local authorities are more circumspect about quality as well as the consumers).
I do try to cook sometimes but don’t get as much “proper” ingredients as I should in spite of living in a rural and maritime area where they are easy to get. Time is a big factor, and I am not the sort of person who plans a whole week of what I am going to eat right down to whatever calories there are, what is healthy which some folk I know do.

That will mean I will have to have a conversation with him haha He’s a sod, But we did get him when he was VERY young, too young to be away from his mother, so he’s basically like a limpit to me lol he never leaves my side. I have to sneak out the house so he doesn’t follow me lol

March 20, 2013 at 3:25 pm #1129399if he is part Burmese / Siamese then this is also normal behaviour. Many Northern European breeders bring up these kittens in family groups for far longer alongside the mother, the tomcat (as the males of Eastern breeds guard and help raise the kittens) and even any dogs and pups which are there as well as the humans so they all learn how to tolerate each other.
