ops system at work is generating invoices with zero totals – these have to be removed from the batch file or they end up in the finance system. you do not have to be a trained accountant or maths genius (I am neither) to see why this is a bad thing. The best case is only it hoses up the reporting (which is much of the whole point of having a finance system) as computers really don’t like trying to divide things by zero (the answer being infinity, which something mostly only folk with proper beards can deal with), worst case is the revenue and customs authorities think you’re trying to do a dodgy and everything is hauled up for full audit. still a pain when you have batches of 200 invoices…

cept my back being a bit achy from 1-2 hour sleep and being out all day. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into a chronic pain and leave me fucked in the morning like other times. usually that only happens after drunk nights though.

Avoid TV. If you fail that just use the religious mute technique.

I’d agree avoid watching mainstream channels, but modern sets usually have a variety of connections to which you can often connect a computer and use it as a second display.Unless you live in a mansion house you can get away with a long cable for VGA, HDMI and composite/S-video (if anyone still uses that, though you may encounter it on older computers) so even a desktop on a different floor can feed the tellly and CPC farnell in Leeds are selling these off cheap.
Thus you can get far better things on the screen such as youtube videos, your own films you have made, psychedelic visualisations etc. The test card came from a laptop via HDMI – I was cursing the poor quality of a BBC news channel and this proved it was Auntie mangling the colour range and the set is capable of far better). Also static outdoor night vision CCTV cameras are suprisingly cheap nowadays, if you have a garden put one at ground level (where cats/foxes/badgers/mice/rats/hedgehogs are) and you can have your own nature channel 😉 (birds require more expensive kit, knowledge of where they are and care not to disturb their nests/harass them, as you can get arrested!)

Calm down now, i’m sure where your high on nrg3 everything seems epic, but once you comedown and relax you will be like. WTF was that all about. You should put on some music and enjoy the rush. If you still think people are laughing at you, try and find constructve things to do, or maybe go out somewhere. Sure you will be fine.

You probably allready know this, but DVI and HDMI are exactly the same except HDMI carries sound as well.

It seems you get really paranoid and unhappy, why do you still take them?May 26, 2012 at 11:34 pm #1165707@haraswatch 480831 wrote:

It seems you get really paranoid and unhappy, why do you still take them?True, there are some really great alternatives to drugs. I used to be a real bad reck head, people used to even call me an animal because of my drug use. I think you do need to relax more.

not sure if they have it in DK or its called something else but white spirit (naptha) is cheaper than petrol, safer even for the arsonist, and doesn’t flash over and singe the hairs of the arms and knees (which is what the CSI look for). Not that I am advocating setting things alight in this manner (I only use the stuff to clean my bicycle chain) but my countrys labour party got screwed over this way during the 90s..
FFS folk make too much of a fuss about tax – OK some of it is spent wrongly but there are things in countries especially with coastal areas what need good taxpayer funded services like the Coastguard, Environment Ministry etc..
