It looks like loads of people are having this problem with mass effect .. go on their forums there should be alot of info on it.

What’s your laptop spec?

Also is it ME 1/2 or 3 (if 3’s come out yet)

It looks like loads of people are having this problem with mass effect .. go on their forums there should be alot of info on it.

What’s your laptop spec?

Also is it ME 1/2 or 3 (if 3’s come out yet)

google the error code and mass effect, but if its not a legal copy that may be why (or at least its missing a patch etc).

my laptop is fairly new (about 4 months) and runs several other games (dragon age 1, 2, oblivion, etc) so is very capable of running anything, by the looks of it it’s TOO good. mass effect 2 is almost finished so i’ll see if that works. i was trying to run mass effect 1.. installed fine but occasionally it’s this general protection fault and occasionally the game crashes after i get the splash screen. fml, i can’t play ME2 before ME1 🙁 guess i’m gonna have to get it for the xbox, it’s been out for a while so it should be cheap.
there’s lots of info on it but seemingly no one single solution 🙁 and i used to have so much respect for bioware.

I’d need more specific info on what’s inside your laptop to narrow it down as new laptops come in all shapes and sizes.

Try running it in administrater mode (i’m assuming it’s windows 7).

Type dxdiag in the search thing in your start menu and run that
