an yea they do have bouncers, but only after 12am and they are just watching over things, not on the door. its because the burger king is right in the middle of the town center, surrounded by lots of nightclubs an bars an its where alot of people go to get munch after a night out. trouble can sometimes kick off ennit.

grrrr. ive got another rant! (seems like all im doing recently…)

this girl i used to be BEST friends with, like literally we were inseperable, has completly turned on me..

I got into debt because of her. I gave her a place to stay when she found out she was pregnant and was homeless. I supported her during her numerous brake ups and relationship issues. Ive sorted that girl out soo much.. Known her for about 5 years now, way before i met my ex. Me an my ex split up about 6 months ago, have tried to be friends but its proved to be too difficult and weve ended up not speaking and shes totally taken HIS side and wont speak to me. Completly attacked me via her status on facebook earlier on today (wasnt big enough to tell me to my face) and made half of Brighton think im someone that im not.
She needs to be told some home truths, but to be honest i care too much about her to hurt her like that.
…so ill vent it here!

Take a look at your fuckin self luv! Im not going to take critisism from a k head whos supposed to be a MOTHER.. i thought you were a better person than to put ketamine before your own child who isnt even one years old yet! you need to get a grip, sort your life out and stop messing around in mine. If you dont want to speak to me anymore than fine.. DONT SPEAK TO ME. OR ABOUT ME. Get on with fuckin your life up! who will be the next person you rob i wonder? your own mother? because that the level i think you would stoop to.

and we wonder why alternative lifestyles get clamped down and drugs remain illegal…

this is exactly why I moved 150 miles away from SE England, virtually knocked partying on the head – did give it a go in these ends for a few years but found nearly everyone was half my age and going through the same dramas as above… and I don’t enjoy being high when people at a group are bitching about each other/kicking off etc…

got to the stage where other than on here I just spend a lot of time alone or doing work stuff and am actually happier and more fulfilled than my time as a raver…

if its any consolation as far as squatters/heavy drug users do you seem to be a clued up chap with a genuine sense of integrity what seems to go beyond short term hedonism..

I understand exactly what your saying tho.. there is soo much drama in life. I think thats in alot of social groups tho (prehaps not as much as brighton.. seriously, this sity thrives on who did what and how they did it! you cant have an argument with someone without it being common knowledge accross brighton within a week. Maybe i just know too many people in this god forsaken city!)

Good on you for leading the lifestyle you do now, you seem totally comfortable with it. I wonder if im heading towards that myself. After all, you are your own best friend! Ideal situation is get the clutch on my van fixed and go and park up in the middle of nowhere and live self suffiently.. say a big fat good bye to lifes worries and dramas and have only my dog to talk to.

exactly same thing happened to me the other day…

tears you apart really init coz you feel like a schizophrenic… one side is telling you to say fuck it fuck her and fuck life.. and the other (marginally bigger side) forces you to hold on and keep hopeful… etc

basically… i know EXACTLY what your feeling bud… for me it has sorted itself out and we’re friends again (funny… we RARELY fall out but when we do its bad..), we’re inseparable. and i hope it works out for you bud…

i know your venting… but careful what you say – i reckon even though your angry at her now… you just gotta keep being there for them even when they hate you… thats your job as best friend. then they’ll click and everthing will be better then bliss 😉

my way of venting it was going on a drive. unfortunately i broke one of my suspension springs and i need a new tire lol… but, it prevented me saying something id later regret.

hey nice one man. means alot.. definatly helped getting out all out on PV. feel better today. Were still not talking.. cant see us talking for a while to be honest. Especially if she carries on the way she is.. I care about her little boy sooo much it really hurts to see whats happening and im soo close to saying something but i know it will all blowup so its just not worth it. Others have noticed whats going on, im gonna leave it to them to sort out. Breaks me heart tho!
thumbs up for more spliffing.. want a line aswell but me an the people i live with have decided not to have any drugs in the squat at all after we had a little visit from the police yesterday. Might go round my mates tho in abit and get messy.

aw no way man. it takes times seriously. the more you get into it the better you become.. keep a keen eye out for things randomly in the street and photograph them.

it takes practice especially if you’ve recent moved from a compact to a DSLR with lots of manual settings.

I’ve been taking photos since the late 1970s but even then it still takes time and practice to get a decent photo. At least nowadays the cost of film is no longer an issue but when I got my DSLR I actually had to unlearn some things from the film days because some stuff is different (for instance a really high aperture over f11 can actually create a blurred image (unlike film) because of diffraction on the CCD / CMOS sensor!)

out of nearly 200 photos I took at a recent party I got about 20-30 good ones although thats me being fussy (and also trying to operate a more complicated camera that what I normally use whilst not 100% sober, in low light conditions…)

if you did take the pic of the flower you’ve already got the basics of things like depth of field…
