I do ride! but some bastard stole my seat and new contract has me wearing a suit. oh i loved casuals. rode very day in casuals. grrrr to formal attire.
This is one reason I moved away from London / SE England. Not only have I not worn a tie for work since 2006, I don’t even have to go to the office until the afternoon as I can do the first part of the days work from home (full remote access and a VOIP link to my “office” phone number)..
its remarkably difficult though these days to find a traditional “nut and bolt” seat post clamp compared to QR ones which of course makes it easier for thieves  – I am always worried about this whenever I lock my bike up in town. At work it it often gets stored in the office!
October 22, 2010 at 12:28 pm #1149790on the bus thing: if i write a letter complaining about the service (lack of) to tfl, will they do anything about it and kick the bus company up the arse? anyone ever written to them?
Everybody at my bus stop gets ridiculously angry also when they wait for 15 mins and then a full bus drives past, that i always *hope* that they do the complaining. And i think a lot do because every now and then for a full week it seems like they have lifted their game and 2 buses arrive at once every 5 mins, but then a week later things are back to shit.

I defo wanted a change – as although I loved (!!!) my job – I’d been there coming up to 7 years, and fancied a change –
and I was as high as I could go without becoming management – which is defo not me :hopeless:
so I wanted a change – and I am defo glad I’ve done it –but its really info over load!!
last year was the first time this uni did it – and they trying to rectify mistakes they made and I think have gone a bit over board with it.. I hope next year they get the balance right – but I think funding will be pulled by then – what with the fucking tories!!
so in a long winded reply – I have my first essay in around 6 years to write so mega worried – but decided to have a night off and get pissed :crazy_dru
as this week has all been uni – but usually its work 3 days and uni 2 days – so it has been relentless – as its ALL so new –
and the work side team has only just been set up – taking people from other teams into it as they have disbanded 2 sevices into one – so no one knows what they are doing!! – so we turned up on our first day expecting to be shown about etc and after 3 days still didnt know who was who or what we were meant to be doing as we’d been sort of left to our own devices – and coming from my experience of 13 years of knowing what I’m doing and being good at it – its horrid to feel like this!!
but tis life!!
I’d just not really thought that far ahead! DOH! :hopeless:October 22, 2010 at 7:19 pm #1165143@1984 403062 wrote:
