I did miss the madness too!! she has been super fantastic with all the shit since dec, so I thought we’d moved passed this – maybe its me over reacting but……..

because when your drunk you are unaware of what you are doing, parts of your brain shut down. He had no intent to cause offence, was desperately upset at what he had done when he was informed. We have all done things drunk that we would never ever do soba, some more shameful than others. Plus the jails are all full 😉

If he had done it with intent I would possibly agree with a more harsh penalty.

yeah true , i agree that jail would have been a bit much considering the offences that other people commit and avoid being locked up for , and its well known that jails are over crowded . i understand we all do stupid things that we are unaware of when under the influence . on the other hand you are always responsible for your own actions drunk or not drunk . its just as if the guy has no morals or respect . either way he has to live with this with in his mind for life , and im sure it’ll rip him apart . it just really annoys me

dont worry – everyone has their own morals and things that piss em off,
I dont know this story but I’m guessing from above posts if he showed genuine remorse he would be deemed in a much better light – lack of remorse is a really bad thing in the court room.

I do however believe we should be responsible for what we do when intoxicated – yeh I’ve done silly things when drunk – but I have to acknowlege and take responsibilty for whatever – its not an excuse
