Ok more improvements and I’m now ready to call this version 1.
– A flash media player that won’t crash or consume all the memory on your computer.
Just a thought but is flash wise given its no longer supported? would HTML 5 not be better? or do you mean flash as in stylish? either way I am sure you know far more about it than I and this is an utterly pointless post of mine given I have not programmed in 10 years.
Evening all.

Oh I thought they were still doing website support. All the games on facebook that use flash are still running. Also My youtube player still uses flash although I would love it if it would change to flash. I don’t even know if this version of V buletin can do flash. I believe that is one of the perks of VB5. Although I am not too sure myself.
March 10, 2013 at 6:52 pm #1268476Speaking of VB5 I found a rather pointless and lame video on their youtube account. Like PM’s are a new feature they want to show off.
March 10, 2013 at 8:20 pm #1268497Flash seems to be pretty standard for radio players at the moment, is our player working correctly for everyone? I’ve had very occasional crashes but then I’ve been testing a lot…

March 10, 2013 at 8:25 pm #1268449works on computers but not on my blackberry (not sure if its possible to detect the mobile devices and direct them to another player? BTW whatever they use on TuneIn radio works with a blackberry)
March 10, 2013 at 8:26 pm #1268457I played around with it a lot…I’m on osx, works mighty fine here
March 10, 2013 at 8:31 pm #1268498There’s a link in the Radio drop down menu to our old mobile page hosted at Internet-Radio. But I’m planning to write our own soon. Although the new layout works for me on Android clearly it’s not ideal.

March 10, 2013 at 8:32 pm #1268458the transition between the channels worked smoother when the channel change was in the drop down menu on the player…
March 10, 2013 at 8:35 pm #1268499That player turned out to be no good unfortunately.
March 10, 2013 at 8:38 pm #1268459ok.

Works fine, but sadly my nokia lumia 620 OS isn’t supported by the mobile player. But that’s ok. I have downloads for being out and about.

yeah windows 8 mobile (whatever that means I call it XBOX) I will hae a look for the flash app ok. Cheers
March 10, 2013 at 8:44 pm #1268500That happens when you chop and change channels too much. You have to kill it in Task Manager when it does.
March 10, 2013 at 8:47 pm #1268501The problem with a majority of flash players is they consume more and more memory as they stream. They also crash a lot because well they use flash which is hopeless. That other play was ok to start with but the sound quality got bad really quick because of all the memory and disk accesses.

try this app; TuneIn Radio | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United Kingdom) and try to find PVR on it…(or maybe not…it have too many things it wants to know about U)
or this one; http://www.windows8apps.com/apps/music-video/music-video/internet-radio-for-windows-8/ but then we have to get doc to get PVR listed before it works…
March 10, 2013 at 9:21 pm #1268450Just noticed how the player has shortened my radio broadcast recording file names to Dj To. Haha! Quite like it.

March 11, 2013 at 8:11 pm #1268502I’ve just added a new player which should work better for everyone. Enjoy…
March 12, 2013 at 7:54 pm #1268485nice piece of work dr.b ! it seems fairly stable given that flash on linux hasn’t been updated from 11.2.x.x and adobe have said it never will be, it’s basically on “security maintenance only” now.
