Is anyone experiencing a popping noise when using a Shure QLX-D with a RSB-2 ref mute switch? Shure has a bulletin that addresses this. I forwarded the bulletin to our AV vendor, but they tell me that the solution doesn’t apply to condenser mics, like the Special Projects 746 that we’re using. I can’t recall the last time I saw a lavalier or headset mic that wasn’t a condensor. Shure makes a really nice toggle ref mic switch these days, the WA661. That seems to be the one that refs want now.
