Just had the biggest prang of my live, police turned up at house cos i just called a mate a minute before he was about to try to OD on two packs of paracetamol, luckily i talked sense and made him come see me. he has attempted this a while back but this was before his dad died and gf split up with him in a really horrible way.

thought they were gonna have a snoop about n i had a little bit of naughty paraphernalia about!! luckily they didn’t….. pffffffffff!

Yeah, i’m not gonna bother again unless i have a major break from dissociatives. the price ain’t worth it considering a g is 35-40 and 6g of k is like 60….

it does feel physically healthier but mentally i’m not so sure… also it’s not fun at all to snort.

i didn’t get much feeling off it.

I have had a fair few dealings with TVP in the past, I think they were probably quite happy to see me move 150 miles East out of their area and finally“grow up”) but for all their faults (which are mostly caused by the wider legal system and silly laws anyway) a lot of their cops do have a heart and know what the priorities are.

There are times when they could have proper fucked me over and put me before Court but they haver let me off with a caution or even walk free as they had clearly assessed my background and genuinely didn’t think it was sensible to cause me more grief and perhaps make me turn to worse crime.

Increasingly their job overlaps with that of NHS, Social Services etc – Even if they know you do drugs its not their operational task to search for them and nick you at that particular moment the priority is to ensure your friend is OK and to gather evidence which can help the other agencies who will be involved, particularly NHS.

I would however consider this as a wake up call to pay attention to “security issues” and what you leave lying about…

Also, about 6 years ago I knew a bunch of proper sketchy speed freaks, into needles and all sorts.

One of them got delberately knocked off his bicycle at 50mph by a jealous/angry dude in a car due to arguments over money/girls etc. Along with the bike (which broke in two due to the force of the impact) he was catapulted into a half full rubbish skip which lessened the impact, or he would have been permanently disabled or killed (he still spent a fair bit of time in hospital)

The feds could have treated this as “scum against scum” and thought “he got what he deserved” and just said it was a “road traffic collission” like they used to in “Ashes to Ashes” days – but instead TVP spent months getting the confidence of folk what wouldn’t normally talk to cops (peopel who were stuill using drugs every day), got loads of evidence and the attacker was caught, charged with attempt murder and sent down for a long time.

seems potentially ok, I have a high k tolerance and testing small amounts of this seems different but subtly nice, but just had a sketch out after doing a few lines. I’ll post my thoughts on it after more experimentation and reflection…

they took him home where do you think it’ll go from there?

Depending on his age, his wishes (human rights laws apply, if he has not been arrested or sectioned they cannot force him to do anything) they may contact his family and/or a healthcare professional or counselling service, or encourage him to do so independently.

I remember when I got busted for drugs a few years ago, the cops were in fact quite right-on about the whole episode, they were saying stuff like they could see I was a young man in a professional occupation and not a major criminal but “drugs are illegal and bad for you and aren’t the right way to escape from stress” – as well as a Caution they handed me some leaflet about addiction counselling – they pointed out that this wasn’t part of a punishment but to help me if I needed it it was up to me whether or not I contacted them (I think I later used the leaflet to make a wrap out of).

in my experance they will call a “crisis team” who will come see him and try to work out if he needs to be sectioned. He almost certainly wont be seconted and will be let out. He will probably get a call from them to see how he is doing in a week and he will have probably been made to promise to see his GP.

If on the otherhand he keeps saying he still wants to hurt himself he really should be sectioned but I still doubt they would, its very very hard to get sectioned.

Nah i think it was a spur the moment comedown type thing, a lot of shit goes on in his life and he is a really really strong person but obviously this isn’t good because the stress builds up more and more then gets let out in 1 massive go which happened today.

he said he hasnt cried for years, i used to see him cry a while ago when we were younger but i think he’s probably let out a lot of delayed stress.

he realised how stupid it would of been and horrible to friends and family and was so glad i was there for him to cheer him up and be on the level. i even cried speaking to him.

If anything this will make the cops who attended your house see a good side of you even if you have been in trouble in the past or they suspect you as being a part of the local drugs culture.

That said, how did they know to look in your house to find him? Did he or someone he knows (perhaps his girlfriend) call nines and pass on your address? Even then I wouldn’t get excessively paranoid about this but its worth knowing the background…

i tried to call my friends house mate when my mate text me he’d left notes and was about to attempt to kill himself but he didn’t answer. he called me an hour later when he woke and i didn’t answer but text him saying i was with my the guy trying to indicate he was ok but i should of said it more to the point looking back but at the time or answered his calls but i really didn’t want to speak to this guy at the time. i didnt expect police to turn up at my house especially since the guy normally wakes up at 5pm.

your friends housemate most probably got panicked and called 999 and told the feds where to find him. As annoying as this situation might be, I can’t really criticise the chap for doing this.

I don’t really have loads of friends come round to get mashed (where I live doing so would only attract feds and get me ASBO’d which isn’t impressive when you are pushing 40 and work in an industry where linked organisations have to pick up the pieces of drugs culture) but in my more active days I’d always be on alert in case the cops did decide to knock the door and ask questions.

At least as extraslim confirms their priority is to look after your friend and try and get him to seek help. From memory that “crisis team” for that area (I remember vaguely reading about them somewhere at work but had forgot about it) is usually a mixture of TVP, Hantspol, South Central Ambulance and whatever the NHS PCT’s are for mental health in each area, so any of these official sorts might be involved.

that is the kind of behaviour pattern which is going to fuck him over.

A lot of people take stimulants to combat shyness / social awkwardness and create a false and more extrovert personality. I admit I have done this to an extent over the years, although these days I try and just cope with life as normal most of the time or just have a few drinks.

but if you try to be someone you are not that will seriously fuck with your mind (for one thing you take more and more to avoid feeling suddenly awkward as the comedown kicks in) and you will come unstuck sooner or later…

fair enough – I think its safe to point out for the benefit of the wider public that I’ve also met folk like him who are on the outset very extroverted but deep down are really troubled which is how addictions also start….

Biggest prang I’ve heard of was what happened to my dad.

They’d just picked up about 5oz of weed (this was late 80s), and they were sorting it all out in the living room. There’s a knock at the door, and when my dad goes to see who it is, he can see two silhouttes through the frosted glass of police men in flat hats. He runs back into the house, telling people to ditch the weed, this stuff is going out the window, down the toilet, in peoples underwear, everywhere. They manage to get rid of the lot in about a minute, so my dad goes back and opens the door…

My friend in Gambia (Africa) was on the way back home in a car to the airport and he had 3-4 ounces of weed in his shoe, the police pull the car over and search them all and find a stalk of weed in one of their pockets. they then tell them they’re all getting arrested, this is when my mates anxiety goes through the roof as he’s gonna miss his flight then get to the police station get searched and them find the weed and be locked up and the key chucked away. his gambian friends were arguing with the police going mad while my friends whole life seemed like it was over. after a bit of arguing they pulled out some cash gave it to the police and were all let go.

even to this day he still has anxiety when he speaks of it.

They’d just picked up about 5oz of weed (this was late 80s), and they were sorting it all out in the living room. There’s a knock at the door, and when my dad goes to see who it is, he can see two silhouttes through the frosted glass of police men in flat hats. He runs back into the house, telling people to ditch the weed, this stuff is going out the window, down the toilet, in peoples underwear, everywhere. to be fair I don’t blame him.

The modern day politically correct TVP are a very recent thing from the late 1990s.

Before that they were bastards like old Life on Mars type TV shows and they fucking hated druggies of any kind because a CID officer from the drugs squad got shot dead whilst doing investigations linked to Reading festival in the 1970s, and most other Police forces in the area were also like that.

if he had got caught he’d have gone down for so long you probably wouldn’t be on this forum as you’d only be about 11 or 12.
