They have gone slowly downhill since they were bought by Consignia, another public service fucked up by privatisation. :you_crazy
I wanted to go back and work for them again as it’s the only job i’ve ever enjoyed but changed my mind when they were bought out.

The wider problem is actually with the EU, there is some Europe-wide ruling that national state monopolies are no longer permitted so every EU country has had to expose their postal and telecoms services to the market, even when some aspects of these services are a natural monopoly, particularly posts…
I think similar situations are arising all across Europe…
