i work with noone of a similar mindset.:cry:sadly I am not surprised by this. (once worked in IT hardware/embedded systems design and implementation, and although there weren’t the shifts a lot of the co-workers were clueless and those who weren’t were always competing with one another)
I dunno what it is about British manufacturing industry; the senior management seem dead set on destroying their own companies by removing every bit of pride and optimism the people on the production lines can have about their work…
and then in many jobs you have this constant worry the work will be offshored or sent to a cheaper region. I only ended up in the East of England myself because my previous employers downsized…
ever considered setting up your own garage/motor repair firm?
July 7, 2006 at 10:21 am #1062993im a technician for a small fibre optics company, doin shit like security systems, military and aeronautical systems, telecomms and alot of stuff for well known companies.
i reckon theres gonna be huge need for fibre optics in the near future, with phonelines being so limited and that, so im gonna stay on for as long as i can.
plus for once i enjoy what im doing, and thats more important than the money i reckon. otherwise theres no way i could leave my bed every morning.
July 7, 2006 at 12:36 pm #1063017As of Last week, get high and Mix Mix mix, then I sometimes have a mix.

ever heard of gmgms (general motors global manufacturing system)
forcing in a standardised way of work worldwide, sound good?
at one point they were telling us you had to use your right hand for whatever, what if your left handed?
im v.tall how do i work the same as someone whose short.:you_crazyas for setting up firm, the operations i do would be no use outside of a car manufacturing firm. although i do have a fair few courses and nvq’s, nebsm 1 etc now.

whilst you look for another job, is there not unemployment/sickness benefit in Denmark?
It seems from what you have said since you joined this board that you have not just been unwell recently; but have also been through many bad things in your life and are having to bring up children on your own…
perhaps it may be worth going to the and “social security” explaining this?
July 8, 2006 at 12:20 pm #1063004I’m lucky here in denmark,i get the help i need, but i need to work, ill go crazy whitout..Have gone sick for 1/2 year, only thing i have been looking forward to is starting to work again..
The bad things you talk about is not quite like you have written it but i will not write it here..Maybe ill tell you somtime, but not now..

I’d check for companies which have a “diversity” policy which accepts that employees may suffer chronic (long-term) illness and are prepared to work round it.
July 8, 2006 at 3:15 pm #1063005Its not easy to find a good job when you have been sick..Think ill have a hard time finding somthing..
And then..Do i tell the boss i have been sick ?July 8, 2006 at 4:11 pm #1062999this is a tough question angel:hopeless:
are you going to need special consideration or are you totally recovered?:groucho:

Need a little consideration, but i can look for a easy job where i dont have to make hard work..But i dont care anymore..Nothing seems to be working for me..

every end is just a new beginning; every time a door closes other doors open:confused:
the secret is to look for the new ones instead of wanting to go back through the ones which have been closed to you :groucho:
July 8, 2006 at 4:38 pm #1063007Seems to me i dont have anything left..
You know i dont give up,i would have done that months ago,try very
hard to keep positive and happy, its just so damn hard, when you have lost
everything and everyone you love and care about..
July 8, 2006 at 5:15 pm #1063001i am sorry it is being so difficult for you:group_hug:group_hug:group_hug
it can be difficult to feel so alone and like you have nothing left; my advice is not to look forward or back but just live in the now – one minute at a time it is not as hard and when i stopped regretting the things that were gone i found new things to enjoy instead:confused:
i liked this quote when life was very dark for me:
“To be upset over what you don’t have….
is to waste what you do have.”sometimes i had to readjust my thinking to allow myself to see what i did have but it was worth it in the end:wink:
you know where i am :group_hug
