I’m becoming increasingly suspicious of this whole banksy thing though.
I appreciate he is a good artist…
but if anyone else sprays political slogans on walls or any sort of slogan they will get nicked.
this man has allegedly been photographed a few times. His name has been mentioned in the media. He even has an agent.
How come he’s not even been questioned once or at the very least “encouraged” to donate some of his revenue to environmental services of one of the councils?
I think he must have friends in high places who are ensuring he gets treated as a “proper artist” rather than just any other graffer.
Also as a council tax payer I don’t particularly agree with giving Whitehall the right to override the decision of a local council in this manner..IMO the decision should be for the nearest residents then the council.
you mean like… tolerated so the public think the government and police arent that strict and anal about stuff, so to give us a false sense of bein allowed to get away with things, when actually we’re gettin more n more clampdowns?
i not sure if that makes sense tbh

I don’t think its quite as much a wider “conspiracy” as that. I’m sure there are many in power who would dearly like to see Banksy arrested and processed through the criminal and civil courts.
I think its more that whoever “Banksy” is may have gone to the “right sort” of art college or him (or his agents) know certain people so he is allowed to get away with his activities.
